Deuce is also terrible on the radio.
He's way too argumentative for absolutely no reason, constantly cuts people off to insert his opinion even when he's agreeing with someone, and literally tries to "win" every conversation by getting the last word.
He's way too dismissive of people around him.

quote:"Nah, we're good" could be the motto for the entire franchise. Thats how you end up employing the 2 worst execs in the league.
That being said. I’m pretty shocked a team like ours can just sit there and say, nah, we’re good where we’re at.
And its how you end up parading a 2nd round pick around like you just signed prime Lebron.
quote:So like Fischer said, if we wanted Brown we could've had him easily.
Brown to the Sixers for George and picks

Dumars is gonna trade Murphy for Isaiah Stewart and some junk and then talk about toughness, heart, blah blah blah.

Spurs front office would be fired.
He was a disaster for them in the Finals He's the 3rd best point guard on the team and is about to start a 4 yr 221 million dollar deal

“He’s the ultimate player-coach,” Wendell Carter Jr. tells ScoopB.com.
“He expects great things from his players and not giving everyone necessarily their freedom but he wants everybody to be great and he wants everybody to live up to what their potential is; and also he coaches you really hard especially on the defensive end. He wants guys to sit down and guard. He really doesn’t put too much emphasis on the offensive end but I think that’s the freedom you get when you sit down and get stops on the other end.”
30 of these jobs on the planet and we've got an unemployed guy debating whether or not he wants this one. Very Pelicans.
Remember how well it went when Mickey had to beg Pete Carmichael to take the Saints OC job?
You shoudnt have to go back and forth with guys to take the most premium positions in sports.

It’s not that they think they’re smarter than everyone else. It’s that they just don’t care
If they could go into the menu section and put this team on auto-gm, they would do it.
Hiring Joe Dumars and stripping the organization down to the bare minimum is as close to that as they can get.
re: Kamara going on Terron Armstead's show live at 6 tonight

Loomis has spent the entire offseason talking about Kamara like he's a free agent, when he's not.
Kamara's doing a clever job of being business as usual, talking about getting back in town, meeting the rookies, etc.
He's clearly not considering retirement and probably won't accept a pay cut, so he's going to force Loomis to decide whether or not he wants to get rid of a Saints legend who's just showing up to work.

As soon as he got fired everyone in NBA media immediately started mentioning the Pelicans. Windhorst said he expects Mosely to have a job soon. Seems like a pretty open secret at this point.
The Bulls just hired their president today. That leaves the Blazers and Pelicans. The Blazers owner is so cheap he might try to have AI coach the team.

re: It is going to be a bidding war for Rondo

I don't understand why Pelicans fans are acting like Rondo is some hot commodity in coaching circles.
I like Rondo and want him to be the hire, but no one else is even considering him.

quote:Yeah. That 4-10 range has basically been home for the Pelicans since they moved to New Orleans, so they might as well just keep doing what they've been doing for 20+ years and they'll have their best shot possible at the top pick.
The new tanking rules probably scare that off though

Damn Rajon the a-hole and Jarret the Gentleman
What a yin and yang
Also, isn't Rondo about to be an Olympic Quarterback?
quote:Yeah why not at this point. I want this situation to be as embarrassing as possible.
Hell, Gayle can save even more money if we just have Dumars coach the team himself, like the Walrus did. Why not?
I want to see if they even replace Erin Summers and We Johnson or if they just make Andrew Lopez do pre game, halftime, sidelines, and post game.

If Dumars cleans house and gets better results with 75% of the labor and costs, you know how big of a win that is for him?
This franchise sucks with the bare minimum staffing setup. Thinking you're going to cut even more and win is insanity.
Im sorry but Joe Dumars, his child, and Troy Weaver road tripping around the country to put a team together like its 1950 is not the way to compete with OKC or Boston.
Besides, these cuts aren't about operating more efficiently anyway. Its Dumars getting rid of shite he never believed in anyway, that allows him to run upstairs to the billionaires and brag about the pocket change he saved them.

There is likely more coming within the week. While it’s unfortunate because people will likely know someone, but wholesale changes need to happen.
Seriously doubt 63 year old Joe Dumars is rushing to replenish the analytics department.
