Terry Moran has lost his fricking mind. I’ve watched as he has slid further into the false narrative news media. Trump rightfully put him in his place.

I didn’t think Gofundme allowed people arrested for a felony crime to solicit funds on their website. Did I miss something or did something change?
re: OT Advice- Where to Live During Retirement?

Alternate between Lake Claiborne and Lake Hamilton.
Lake Hamilton at Hot Springs is really a nice retirement area. I plan on spending a lot of time there. I’ll be 62 this year.

We are too much of a disposable culture. We always feel like we have to have the latest and greatest. That’s not a very sustainable economy. Spending all your disposable income is great short term for the stock market, but getting back to our grandparents mindset of getting all the value out of products and not feeling the need to keep up with Jonses is better for everyone. Don’t feel the need to buy every new and shiny product.

But no one else even address the debt and trade disparities other than lipservice, yet he’s the bad man.
Our 2 party political system is to our detriment and Trump fights on both side to get anything accomplished. He fights Republicans, Democrats, the courts, the media, insider leaks, etc. to change the status quo on how Washington works.

I’m 61. Four years ago I ended up with a considerable amount of money due to some items I inherited from my grandparents. I invested all the money in rental vacation property that I make money off when they are rented. My kids can use then anytime they want. They will inherit the property when I die, but the income will be part of my retirement income.
I haven’t spent a penny of that windfall, only invested it. I spent a few tens of thousands out of pocket on the properties as well as a lot of time updating them.
So I will hold on to them until I die ( or close to it) but my kids will benefit more than me.
Does that make me selfish?

Greatest combover ever. Started behind his ear and ALL the way over.
Also, got more money for the Red River locks and dams than was imagined in its time. Was considered one of the most wasteful spending projects ever in its time, but J Bennet was able to garner support for it. He pulled a tremendous amount of money to Louisiana. Good or bad, he pulled it.

String girdling Earth is a mathematical puzzle with a counterintuitive solution. In a version of this puzzle, string is tightly wrapped around the equator of a perfectly spherical Earth. If the string should be raised 1 metre (3 ft 3 in) off the ground, all the way along the equator, how much longer would the string be?
Alternatively, 1 metre (3 ft 3 in) of string is spliced into the original string, and the extended string rearranged so that it is at a uniform height above the equator. Quoted from wiki
And it’s the same for any spherical object.

Great suggestions. Thanks all.
We are planning some day trips to Lexington and Claiborne farms. Also Bowling Green and corvette museum. My wife wants to run over to the Ark as well. Nothing is set in stone at the moment.

Looking for best local bars and close places to stay. Wife (no pics) and I will be in Nashville that week and this will be our first visit. We've got a few day trips planned, but plan on making the most of night life while there.
There is a huge Grand ole opry event that week, but tickets are through the roof for that event, so not interested in that. Looking for some independent rock bands or older country bars.
Any suggestions for entertainment and places to stay appreciated.

Pretty sad it’s gotten to that point over there. If that is their sentiments, frick’em. If the common man’s view is different, then they need to run those fockers out of office. Or take up arms and push them out (oh yeah, they gave up their arms).
Oh, well.
Oh, well.

I’ll definitely tip good. That’s completely different in my mind. I’ll get a cheaper entree before I short on a tip. To me, that’s 2 completely different expenses.

Some people like doing that. Or feel uncomfortable if they don’t. It’s just part of their nature. It’s not always rational, but it is to them.

OP is also spot on that these types of people also waste a crazy amount of time trying to save a few pennies. They will burn 2 or 3 hours of their time if it means saving 10 bucks.
Guilty to a degree. I’m pretty frugal in only spending money unless it’s what I really want. It’s hard to not wait for a good deal. I am guilty of spending entirely too much time before pulling the trigger on some stuff though. It’s just difficult going against your nature on spontaneous purchases.
I’m like my grandparents. They saved money because they liked saving money more than spending it. It’s a different concept in todays culture.
I don’t ask for free stuff though. That’s definitely cringe.
