Really hard to protect yourself when the defender puts his helmet on the knee. That was a tough spot to take a hit.

Plus it looked like his leg may have buckled on him a second before he took the hit. He was in pretty bad pain.

TDG did nothing wrong. He took a bad shot trying to make a play.

They still have a lot of work to do with vision and feel. There was one play with Berry that was a stretch with a ton of room. It took a little too long to hit it and what could have been a bigger gain was a 3 or 4 yd rush. IMO, for whatever that’s worth, is what is separating them from being 1 or 2. Vision and feel. Hopefully we see some improvement by next game, which I think we will.

What he lacks in speed he makes up for with his feel for the flow of where he needs to hit the hole. Great vision and anticipation for the most part. He presses then bounces nicely too. He looked fantastic last night.

The biggest problem in all of this is the NCAA has been picking and choosing for years which laws they hold accountable for each school. There has been no consistency for a very long time and it’s showing it’s ugly face big time atm.

Sidewalk mentioned this in a thread on the SEC forum and I completely agree. You can’t just pick and choose laws to follow and then throw your hands in the air when the chaos we are seeing is because of the mismanagement they created.

To be clear, I’m against players going pro and then coming back. But they should have had the information clear as day before they had to make an informed decision.

All of this bs is taking away a part of the game we love. It’s unfortunate.

But then again, maybe all of this is on purpose…

This upcoming class is going to have a ton of potential! Still would like to see more LHP, but overall talent is nice!

Serna towards the end of the season was playing great! Had some great at bats. Hoping to get out pitching back where it needs to be. That was the hardest part of the season to me. Just could not get it going on the mound.

I hate watching all these other teams play some exciting games in post season play. Some good baseball being played no doubt, just sucks not seeing our Tigers in the middle of it.

He gave him no protection, no balance on offensive play-calling and execution and poor game planning. Sucks he got hurt, but there was only so much that even a healthy Nuss could do with a shitty o line.

Sam played incredibly well yesterday, considering he was in the final group with Rory. Quietly went about his business and shot a 68. Had some incredible par saves. Impressive round.

With him being in the second to last group today, some of the pressure might be taken off and free him up more.

Would love to see Sam put that green jacket on!

Agreed. He’s built perfectly for the tackle position. He made some good plays this year as well. A refreshed approach to coaching could do him a LOT of good.
