I would go back to this year in a heartbeat. I probably had the most fun in my life from 1995 to 1997. The 90s were such an awesome and unique decade.

I had a credit card get cancelled by the credit card company because I hadn't used it in forever and my credit score dropped from 815 to 775. You would think not having credit card debt would be a good thing, right?

Back in the 80s, that song was played in a radio ad, I think for some dance club. Maybe 2010? Weekends? That club on the levee by downtown (forget the name)?

Came here to see if anyone else is hearing this. Been hearing rumbling sounds off and on all day (it lasts too long for it to be thunder). House rattled too just now. I'm guessing maybe Dow flaring?

you sure couldn't hear anything on the South side of the stadium. It must of occurred in the North among the students.
This. I sit in the south end zone. I was in my seats 30 minutes before kickoff, saw the player introductions, and stayed the whole game. I never heard any booing. If there was booing I guess it wasn't loud.
re: I think the current tailgate scene plays a massive role in fans leaving early
Posted by Monkeyboy on 11/24/24 at 12:21 pm
Been having season tickets for over 25 years. People leave early to beat traffic. The traffic sucks at times. I live 4 miles from the stadium and it's taken me over 2 hours to get home plenty of times. I will say though, to me the traffic hasn't been as bad this year as in the past few. People with young kids also leave early as it's past the kids bed times. Also it's so corporate now with businesses buying seats so there are way more people going to game that don't care about LSU football and leave after halftime. If you want proof of this, look at the south end zone. The South end zone has less corporate seats and is always the most full part of stadium.
I was at the game and there was a mass
Exodus when LSU scored that TD in the 3rd quarter. The temperature dropped after halftime to uncomfortably cold levels and there were a lot of under dressed people at the game, especially females. Guess they didn't pay attention to the weather forecast or are just dumb.
In saying all this, I could care less if people leave early. It's there money, they can do what they want with it. The people on here that constantly whine about how it looked bad on tv obviously weren't at the game if they are watching on TV, so you have no place to be whining.

re: Line is now even? How much $ does it take to do this?

Not sure about how much money it takes but in my experience this type of line movement typically means good news for LSU.

re: Fauci now admits that the Covid “vaccines” cause Myocarditis, particularly in young men

There are plenty of medications that have been used for years that can cause myocarditis. Practically all antibiotics, for example, can cause this. I'm not a fan of the COVID vaccine but this isn't anything unique.
re: Will LSU finally beat the spread -20.5?

This is a stay away from game to me, but if I had to pick I would take South Alabama. I just don't trust LSU's defense.
re: Who the hell is Sza?

My taste in music is rock. The louder the guitars the better to me, but Sza has some good songs. I have no clue about her personality but she definitely has talent as a singer/musician.

South Alabama's starting QB got hurt in the UNT game and missed the Ohio game and he is their best player. They beat Ohio if he's playing. I still believe LSU wins the game easily but I'm not sure they cover.
re: Supernatural Experience. Ghost Or Something Unexplainable? Ever Have One?

I've shared this story on here before. Years ago some friends of mine and I were staying at a cabin in Arkansas. This cabin was in the middle of nowhere up a mountain. No neighbors and really secluded. One night we were all hanging out by the fire pit area, which was maybe 35 yds from the cabin. All of a sudden two of the guys stood up at the same time and both said they saw a little girl wearing just a nightgown walk in front of our cabin and down a trail that lead down the mountain. We walked over to go look for her but there was no girl to be seen. It was as if she completely vanished. They were concerned because the girl looked to be only around 5 and there was no adult with her. It was also about 10:00 at night and it was cold, way too cold for only a nightgown. And as I said earlier there was nobody else around in that area. After looking for the girl but not finding her we just went back to hanging out at the fire. About 45 minutes later I walked back up to and inside the cabin to get something. As I was leaving the cabin to head back to the fire pit area I heard a little girl giggle right by me, clear as day. There was nobody there at all. I was freaked out. We tried to come up with a rational explanation for all of that but really couldn't. As crazy as it sounds I really think the girl was probably a ghost.

I don't know. I'm playing with LSU and Kylin Jackson commits a roughing the punter penalty literally every single time my opponent punts. It's maddening. Anyone else getting this?

everybody has their own experience...
This exact same thing happened to me today! It would have been the go ahead TD too vs. No. 1 Georgia with just seconds left. I'm glad somebody captured that.
I like the game a lot, but I do notice it cheats at critical times. I had a play called the other day with a corner route to the outside WR. It was the perfect call vs. the defensive play the computer called, would have been the go ahead TD, but my QB inexplicably threw a pass to the WR as if he was running a post route rather than the corner route. He just threw the ball to absolutely nobody.
Was playing Bama. It was 4th and 17 with 20 seconds left in game, Bama had the ball on their 25 yd line. I called a cover 4 defense. Milrose threw the ball right to where my CB was standing. But right when he was about to make the interception, he magically shot up 8 yards as if an invisible hand grabbed him and pulled him forward. He wasn't even moving his feet, just slid forward as if sliding on ice. Rather than making the INT, the Bama WR catches the ball and runs for an 80 yd TD.
In another game it was 2nd and goal with 2 minutes left in game. The Computer's defense had only 4 DL in the box and absolutely nobody else, so I audibled to a run play to the A gap. Right when I did that the DL shifted into the A gap and moved to safety back in the box. It knew exactly which play I audibled to. Also that's the first and only time I've ever seen the computer shift their DL.

When I see rank and file govt workers bitch and complain, typically it’s because they got used to doing nothing, and now they’re expected to work while they’re just trying to cruise to that pension. This is how you flush out the fat in govt.
Maybe I'm missing something but what I get from reading that article is that it isn't the rank and file employees that are complaining and leaving the department. It's employees that the new secretary brought in just a few months ago. In other words these are the people she interviewed and hired after she was appointed. It also appears a few at least came from private industry. The article mentions some coming from the chemical industry.
re: I just had the weirdest experience of my life
Posted by Monkeyboy on 5/13/24 at 11:29 pm
One time when I was in college I went out to a party. I got drunk but wasn't what I would call sloppy drunk or incoherent in any way. I walked back to my dorm room, brushed my teeth, talked to my neighbor, and went to bed. The next morning I woke up in a completely different dorm room. To this day I have no idea how I got to be in that room. I know for sure I went to bed in my room though as I talked to one of my neighbors before I went to sleep, and he confirmed I went to my room. Luckily the person that stayed in the room I woke up in was out of town for the weekend. That was a confusing morning.
re: LA. Supreme Court Rules in Favor of St. George Incorporators

The funny thing about all this is that the St. George movement was completely dead and done, then Broome got elected mayor president and the first thing she did was poke the bear by inexplicably start talking sh!t about St. George, which pissed off the St. George people enough that the movement got restarted and the rest is history. She has to feel like a moron today. If she keeps her mouth shut I bet the St. George movement would have stayed dead.
