you will still be able to get to the ag lot as before...the checkpoints won't affect you getting there...with one caveat: you will need to come from the direction of the LSU lakes...

So has this been confirmed Chicken? On LSU's release it says the only free lots that will be available after 2:30 pm are the free lots along the Gourrier Ave. corridor. I was assuming this meant they are blocking off those entrances to the Ag Center lot.

Well, after 2:30pm for a 6:30pm game, there won't be many free parking spots left on campus...I think having less non-parking pass traffic on campus is a good thing.

You'd be surprised. I've had season tickets for years and i can always find parking spots in the Ag Center free lot 30 minutes before the game. I've never not found parking in that area. A lot of people that park there just tailgate and leave around game time.

re: Will bands ever make a comeback?

Billy Corgan from the Smashing Pumpkins said it best. Record labels want to be able to control their talent. Solo artists are easy to control. Bands, especially rock bands, aren't easy to control, and tend to be unpredictable. The labels don't like that. He also said something along the lines that the popular 90s bands (ie. his band, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sound Garden, etc ..) probably ruined it for future bands because they refused to do what the record labels told them to do and the labels hated it.
I know some people that saw all this. Said there was a mob of North Baton Rouge's finest fighting each other on the edge of campus near the law center. Said they did not hear or see any gunshots though. They said it was pretty wild.

So the last 5 years or so since its inception?

Nah their ratings go back longer then 5 years. They said the number of years in the video I watched and it was either since 2004 or 2014, can't remember which.
PFF said that LSU had their best PFF defensive rating ever vs. Clemson Saturday night. That includes games vs. cupcakes and FCS schools.

And Shreveport crime is ridiculuos but let's be honest, Baton Rouge is worse.

I lived in Shreveport for a few years and it has a special place in my heart but I would take Baton Rouge and it's crime all day every day over Shreveport.
There was an Hispanic anchor woman whose last name I think was Flores that I believe went from WBRZ to CNN or one of those other larger networks. Could be wrong on the last name but I think that's it.
Downtown Vicksburg? Last time I went there, which was within the last 10 years, it seemed like half the buildings were boarded up and abandoned.

I lived and worked in downtown Baton Rouge for years and these two things have always been highly exaggerated by this board, especially the notion that it's a high crime area.

Ricky and his girlfriend were parked in a car in a cemetery, Derek Todd Lee stabbed him multiple times, then raped Ricky’s girlfriend while he watched (near ) and then DTL stabbed her to death, he left Ricky to die, but Ricky survived

The girlfriend is named Michelle and she's very much alive. She wasn't raped either. DTL attacked them with a sling blade but stopped his attack when a police officer just so happened to pull into the cemetery. They were very lucky that police officer pulled in when he did.

Years later Michelle saw DTL in a grocery store and immediately recognized him as her attacker. She went to the police but the statute of limitations on the attack had expired so they couldn't arrest him for it.

Landry had nothing to do with this, although he's going to claim that he did. The changes that the Dept. of Education put in place that facilitated this improvement were put in place under the previous administration. Don't give the previous governor credit though. All credit should go to the people at the Department of Education who came up with a good plan.

Most in 2025 wouldn't mind being stuck in 1995

I would go back to this year in a heartbeat. I probably had the most fun in my life from 1995 to 1997. The 90s were such an awesome and unique decade.

Yep, just paid off my wife's car 2 years early and my score dropped from 810 to 775.

I had a credit card get cancelled by the credit card company because I hadn't used it in forever and my credit score dropped from 815 to 775. You would think not having credit card debt would be a good thing, right?
Back in the 80s, that song was played in a radio ad, I think for some dance club. Maybe 2010? Weekends? That club on the levee by downtown (forget the name)?
Came here to see if anyone else is hearing this. Been hearing rumbling sounds off and on all day (it lasts too long for it to be thunder). House rattled too just now. I'm guessing maybe Dow flaring?

you sure couldn't hear anything on the South side of the stadium. It must of occurred in the North among the students.

This. I sit in the south end zone. I was in my seats 30 minutes before kickoff, saw the player introductions, and stayed the whole game. I never heard any booing. If there was booing I guess it wasn't loud.
Been having season tickets for over 25 years. People leave early to beat traffic. The traffic sucks at times. I live 4 miles from the stadium and it's taken me over 2 hours to get home plenty of times. I will say though, to me the traffic hasn't been as bad this year as in the past few. People with young kids also leave early as it's past the kids bed times. Also it's so corporate now with businesses buying seats so there are way more people going to game that don't care about LSU football and leave after halftime. If you want proof of this, look at the south end zone. The South end zone has less corporate seats and is always the most full part of stadium.

I was at the game and there was a mass
Exodus when LSU scored that TD in the 3rd quarter. The temperature dropped after halftime to uncomfortably cold levels and there were a lot of under dressed people at the game, especially females. Guess they didn't pay attention to the weather forecast or are just dumb.

In saying all this, I could care less if people leave early. It's there money, they can do what they want with it. The people on here that constantly whine about how it looked bad on tv obviously weren't at the game if they are watching on TV, so you have no place to be whining.

Wasn't Kenneth Gleason convicted based on this exact same evidence?
Not sure about how much money it takes but in my experience this type of line movement typically means good news for LSU.
