What’s one of those run? In the market for a pre-built (mostly) box stand.

Guilty on all counts if that’s your criteria.

Double D in Bogalusa.
I’m partial to Hosanna in the Highest. You know because what happens next.

re: 6.5 Grendel Mags

I haven’t attempted to fully load a mag so not sure if ours has that issue. We are strictly deer hunting with it so there is no need to have more than a couple in the mag. Ruger not having a three round mag that sits flush seems crazy to me.

I just looked and the mags that Alexander Arms sales are E-lander. They have a 4rd mag on their website. They are proud of them so hopefully means they are very good.

One of mine is a Duramag.

This seems to be one of the only negatives I’ve seen with the Grendel. A lot of the forums and video I’ve watched that mention Grendel mags acknowledge an issue. The mags I have for my AR Grendel won’t cycle if I put more than 5rds in them. I haven’t tried the Alexander Arms mags yet.

I’m looking at the Gen 2 Grendel for the kids in a couple years.

Back when these baws left town it was a fine city. That’s what happened to Bogalusa. Most any body with any intelligence left.

I know Talbot but not the other.

re: BTR probate attorney recommendations?

Have you reached out to the attorney that created the Will?

I’ve been the Executor of an estate twice, named as an Executor in another Will, plus helped another family member who was struggling and an Executor. A couple of these involved POA and hospice care.

My advice is just do the best you can by your friend while he is still here and try not to let yourself get overwhelmed. Keep things in perspective. If the car insurance payment (etc..) is a few days late does it really matter? Once he passes the whole process moves at a snails pace. You can’t do much until you get the death cert. And even if things are in order and relatively simple it will still take around a year before process is completed.

Good luck with everything.

re: Josh Maravich has passed

I knew Josh well back 20-25 years ago from north shore and LSU days. I knew his step brother Mac Mclachlen also who I cant say enough good things about. I still have some friends that kept up with Josh recently.

So if you knew anything about Pistol Pete you know how much of a vibrant personality he had. Josh was probably even more so. You’d also know about the inherited demons that he had in life. Josh was not spared of these demons. From what I know his routine in the last month, weeks, day prior was no different than what it had been. I think his body just finally had enough.

Once you got past the things that were ailing him he was a really good caring guy. People like to describe people like this as a give the shirt off their back type person. But I know that there are times that this was literal for him.

RIP my friend.
