New to Trading- Mandatory Reverse Split
Posted by jtiger123 on 3/11/19 at 8:54 am
Hey Everyone, Just started trading for the first time.
I purchased DCAR stock last week at 0.5275 (220 shares)
over the weekend DCAR did a MRS and my share quantity dropped to 36. i am using TD Ameritrade currently. there was a "mandatory reorganization fee" of $38.00
i'll admit that i was ignorant of reverse splits, but regardless, for such a small valuation, is that a normal fee?

I'll be heading there from the 20th-27th this year. was supposed to be meeting my uncle there as he was going to be nearby for a conference, but its looking like his trip may get cancelled. i'm hoping to meet some fun people there so i'm not solo. i appreciate the tips in this thread. tickets on condor airlines out of New Orleans are fairly cheap, $639 round trip
re: Trying to get into the safety field....Training?

As mentioned before, Southeastern has a good ABET accredited program, the draw back is theres no distance learning path. They try to accomodate most of the OSHE classes at night or atleast have a section available, but classes outside of the department may not be convenient to a non-traditional students schedule.
Oakland University in Michigan has a 100% distance learning OSHE program that is also ABET accredited.
The reason ABET accredidation is important is for future certifications (above CHST and OHST, specifically the CSP and CIH). Attending an ABET accredited program reduces the amount of time required to take the CSP examination (Certified Safety Professional is one of the pinnacle certifications in the Safety field and with that more money on average).
Other options for non-ABET accredited programs: Eastern Kentucky University and Columbia Southern University.

Uh yes. Since he kept using automatic to refer to semi automatic, then my statement is correct. Ever heard of Glock?

You need to clarify your use of "automatic" because in gun talk it commonly refers to semiautomatic, which is what most of the "assault weapons" you are thinking of actually are. Fully automatic , meaning more than one round fire per trigger pull, is what you are thinking. Fully automatic weapons are a much much smaller market because of the registration process and the ridiculous pricing compared to semiautomatic weapons.
P.S. many handguns used for self defense are "automatic"

Compression doesn't hurt them. You would have to compress them past the point of their intended use....loading 30 rounds in a 20 round mag. Try this and see if it works

re: Hog hunting question?
Posted by jtiger123 on 3/26/11 at 6:59 pm
Call LDWF and talk to an agent about clarification. I did this during deer season. For hog night hunting you can use 12 gauge and above(no buckshot) any caliber above .22 tongued for rifles . This may be different for turkey season though

I've done several with them, no problems. I've never bought anything from them either, Sonora not really a lure to get you in the pawn shop to buy anything

NICS is the system the the FFL call when you fill out forms to purchase guns from a dealer. the system is supposed to find any kind of hang ups or negatives(convictions, mental screenings, military service stuff, even restraining orders). the only laws that i would recommend that would benefit without taking away from lawabiding citizens would be mandatory reporting of any recommended psych evals(as in the case of the az shooter)by all major organizations(military, commercial, medical), reporting of any failed psych evals by any organization or doctor(military, commercial....)
another part, which will piss some off, reports from teachers/professor/classmates should be evaluated by whoever would be qualified on campus. this is a reach, but if you overheard some of the conversations of the people i go to school with at southeastern, you would be a little nervouse as well. this is boderline invasion of privacy somewhat, but if there was a reporting system that came from school officials, then the az and va shootings may have been avoided.
