One of my all time favorites, very nice work !. Have been a Warhawk fan since I was a kid. This one in the photos is a WW2 vet built in 1943 and flown by Canada with a confirmed Japanese fire balloon kill. Went to Colorado in the 50's flew cloud seeding missions, gear up landing, and sold. Chino got it flying in the 80's with numerous movie appearances .
Chinos P40N. My son quite a few years apart. We get to be around quite a few unique birds being locals at KCNO.

Interesting ! Love the history of some of the airframes. Red Bulls P38 was Lefty Gardners Reno racer "White Lightning"!

Super Nice work !! We have a great uncle in the family lines who was shot down in Normandy in one in the first hours. He bellied it in on the beach and ended up near the cliffs pinned up against the cliffs as the Germans couldn't fire straight down at him. He spent the entire day there watching it unfold and later was thanked by the engineers for clearing the beach of mines so they could set troops on landing craft directly without having to sweep it first in the area he was in.
Been lucky to get to see a few of the remaining ones occasionally at my home base in Chino. "Dottie Mae" was there for quite a while last year. Always impressive and super cool to be told "Youre number 2 follow the thunderbolt on final".

Some of the most beautiful women are latinas, some of the ugliest too. Many have alot of "Growtential". We refer to the larger models of them out here as "TORTAS".

Pressurization loss? Pilots Ko'd, ended up in death spiral. No inputs, all the way to the ground, power settings at cruise or climb power the reason for speed at impact. I don't know the ATC in the area, but going back to ATC archives to that center at that time may be of interest.

Taking time out to say greetings from the lines. My engine co is staging In Mandeville canyon right now, cruising TD with starlink. Been here since day 1, been a firefighter for 29 years. This was the worst fire conditions and wind I've ever been in and I've been in everything from timber to grass in thunderstorms to sea breeze. This is by far the most devastation I've ever witnessed. If this wind turns on as predicted and blows down canyon tomorrow on Sat afternoon we could see another big loss. That first Tues was like fighting fire in a hurricane.
My firefighter and engine company in Palisades on Tues eve. That's a 6000 sq foot house on fire in the background.

I'm not in the aviation world. Who are the regulatory bodies, and what tools do they have to keep unlicensed pilots grounded until they have all of their proper certifications
It's usually a local FSDO (flight standards district office) They are the local FAA agency. Unless someone reports it, it can go unfound forever unless they are ramp checked randomly by some one out of the FAA FSDO office.

I'm in the aviation world avidly, and met someone the other day with a really nice fixed wing cherokee 6 (suburban of the sky) got to talking about him and his experience, and the airplane setup. He could hardly tell me about some of the avionics inside the airplane, and basic detailed info that an owner should know about it. I ran his name in the FAA registry, and found he only had a student pilot ticket. He owns his own traffic control contracting business, making a grip of money through state contracts, and other dealings. He was transporting pax, and flying around as if he was all good with nothing more than a solo under his belt. Even his daughter told me she likes flying with him "even though I probably shouldnt tell you", so they know he's illegal. Stupid, and arrogant. I'm sure there are plenty just like these guys who have the money, and feel they're above the law. I hope he gets ramp checked before he gets himself into a similar situation.

Woever is in charge of physical security is asleep at the wheel here. You'd think airport security to be kind of important, they may as well have flown off with it.
I fly into Hesperia occasionally just because its an easy quick area to go practice some emergencies with almost zero traffic around. The airport is desolate, the runway is poor, and the area is pretty quiet. Fence around the airport, and where the helipad is a road is right next to it. Easy fpr the A holes to jump and do this. Thats gonna be a costly repair job. Thats a busy med ship too. Lots of off road accidents in the area, trauma center is an 8 minute or so flight from that area. On the road it could be hours on the ground depending on traffic on the weekends.

re: Bought tickets to LSU vs USC. When will seatgeek deliver them?

I use Seatgeek regularly including MLB playoff tix. Same as all said delivered close to the event. Stub hub is the one you have to watch out for unless they've changed their practices.
