re: Starting JJ is a GOOD idea
Posted by aibo synthetic on 10/7/10 at 1:41 pm to CptBengal
The only way starting JJ makes sense is if it is a tactic to calm Jarrett Lee. He has a history of being a head case, and the swamp is second only to TS in terms of hostility (maybe ahead of meeker milder modern day TS) may not the best place to start him right now. He'll get 70%+ of the snaps and unless something changes drastically, he'll take over as the official starter next week. I have no problem with it as long as he plays early and most of the game.

So is the result all that matters? Obviously not. Saban's "process" mantra echoes loudly in BR these days.

I draw parallels between significant and insignificant things all the time. It's how I roll.

To the people that say this, what would you say to your 16 year old daughter, who after being caught texting while driving on the interstate, replied "All that matters is I've never wrecked because of it"?
To the people that act personally offended by the shortcomings of LSU football and are angry:
Get a life. Seriously. Get a fricking life.

I don't know how he's viewed, but I got your back on backing into the title game.

Who else is embarrassed here. All day I have gotten text messeges, emails and calls on how many people feel that LSU is in serious trouble with this guy as our HC. I live in the Houston area and there are tons of people that follow the Big-12 like we all follow the SEC and the majority of them told me that this is what Les is. I realize and know that he is the HC and I bleed purple and gold like everyone here but is there anyone else here that really feels embarrassed at all with all of this going on.
most unnecessary long post ever.
Crowton's history with QBs
Posted by aibo synthetic on 9/30/10 at 2:19 pm
Why is Crowton so good with QBs that are already matured when he gets a hold of them, and so bad with younger QBs? For the life of me, I can't figure this out. When he took over he and Flynn and produced one of (if not the) most prolific LSU offenses ever. Same at La Tech with Rattay if my memory serves.
Can anyone offer up a theory on bi-polar nature of Crowton's offense?

The nfl scouts do their homework. I'll bet they know RP stuck a gun in that kid's face.

I'd put his rear end on the bench until he shaves his head. If he is that much "hey look at me" with his hair, you know he is going to do something stupid during a game.
i hear he's planning to do a back flip after his first run of 8+ yards

Fumble at the end of the 3rd quarter

anyone else find that hilarious?
"Hit in the backfield, Spencer Ware, BALL LOOSE!! and it looks like LSU got back on it."
followed by kudos to the DE for making a play by getting penetration and separating the ball from the RB.
This on a read-option play where Jefferson faked the hand off and took it off tackle.

JJ could be great with the right OC
How can you be a great QB without being accurate? I would love to see that offense. He's not exactly Tommy Frasier.
re: Career stats:
Posted by aibo synthetic on 9/12/10 at 10:00 am to Hired Gun
LSU's defense was shite in 2008 and Lee was having to wing it all over the place and try to win games with his arm.
With a much better defense in '09 JJ was brought along with short passes and told not to force anything or take any chances.
I am not saying who's better or who should be starting, but just pulling up the stats is a pretty shallow way to compare qbs.

Brees is playing out of his mind. These last couple seasons are the best I've ever seen a qb play.
