A lot of great suggestions have already been made. Definitely go to Louies for breakfast and get the hashbrowns with your meal.

I always recommend the Chimes as it is an LSU staple literally at the gates of the university, however I brought my wife and grandson there a couple years ago during a baseball rain delay and there were two trannies working as hostesses. Hopefully they have moved on by now, but beware. The food, beer selection and atmosphere is great however.

Mike the Tiger's habitat is a must see and just a short walk from Tiger stadium and the Indian mounds. There's also a gift shop conveniently located adjacent to the habitat for LSU souvenirs.

I'm not sure if the students will be in or not but check out the LSU dairy store to see if it is open. The student workers make ice cream and dairy products. Get the "tiger bite" flavor if it is open.

If venturing into downtown, I definitely recommend a tour of the old and new state capitol buildings.

It's just sad to see that it took this long. I guess there was no incentive for him to do so with Woodward at the AD helm. It's nice that he eventually came around once he realized he was coaching for his job, but obviously an absolute indictment that he isn't the right guy to revive this program.

I'd definitely attend and pay admission/donate to NIL to bring it back. With the alumni athlete and fan presence that LSU has Jay could definitely use it as an additional NIL fundraiser.
