Brent aka "BJ" is a stud. He ended his high school career as his school's all time leading tackler. Just an all around good kid and high character person as well. He graduated with honors from Cecilia near the top of his class.

He's a fundamentally good tackler and is being used as a CB mainly, but he is also one of UL's punt returners and does have some speed. Last week he broke off a 37 yard punt return, lead the team in tackling and pass breakups, had an interception and a couple TFL's, forced 2 fumbles and recovered a fumble.

I agree completely turner. Would love to see him and more local kids like that in the purple and gold!

He's a great kid as well. Honors graduate and the all time leading tackler in Cecilia football history who started his entire freshman season at UL.

Kid will get some looks from other schools and I hope Kiffin, Baker, Raymond and staff give him a look also. I can't say enough about his work ethic and fundamentals.

I'm hoping that he will look at what Braylon's former Cecilia teammate Brent Gordon Jr is doing on defense at UL Lafayette as well.

Kid was SBC conference defensive player of the week this past week.

When he played defense in previous seasons they ran him out there at safety. He was definitely a hard hitter. He hasn't played both ways this season except for a couple of plays, only offense and special teams.

Final

Cecilia blocked a punt then Calais broke a 30 something yard rush for a TD. ND grinds out a long drive late in 4th quarter capped by a TD on a dive play. Calais got loose for about a 55 yard TD run but Cecilia couldn't recover the onside kick and ND ran out the clock. Calais with 3 rushing TDs but too many penalties, bad passes and drops to beat a well coached Notre Dame team.

Halftime

Cecilia stalled inside the 10 and had the FG blocked and scooped but ball was fumbled and recovered by Cecilia on the tackle near midfield. Cecilia drove to red zone but Calais threw a pick near the goal line. Both teams traded punts. Then ND drove from their 8 yard line highlighted by a 42 yard TD pass. Calais having a rough night through the air and 4-10 with 1 interception and just under the century mark on the ground

End 1st

Braylon Calais at QB hands off on first play on offense, RB fumbles and Calais picks it up and runs 48 yds for a TD. Notre Dame scores their first play on offense after a failed Cecilia onside kick with a 50 yard rush. Next drive Cecilia got stopped on 4th down on their own 47. Notre Dame drove to the 6 and had to kick FG. Calais 3-6 for about 13 yds passing, missing on a few of his throws and a for sure TD pass dropped by a receiver. Calais about 67 yards rushing despite a 24 yard TD run called back for holding. Cecilia driving in ND red zone to start 2nd quarter.
