re: Jasper Parker vs. JT Lindsey
Posted by RandomGuy on 12/18/24 at 9:44 pm to LifeAquatic
You got a short memory. Moss from A&M killed us this year along with that QB. Keon Coleman at FSU killed us last year.
We aren’t getting the best kids out of Louisiana right now.
You’re out your cereal box if you think Lindsey is better than Parker. Lindsey going against in the worst football area teams is our state - CENLA and over rated North LA teams.
Meanwhile Parker doing his thing them dogs down in NOLA. That alone tells me all I need to know.

Jasper Parker vs. JT Lindsey

Finally got to see the two in person in the dome this weekend. How in the world did we not offer the Parker kid?
No knock against JT but Parker was bigger, faster, and more explosive. I was impressed.
This kid has offers from Michigan, Bama, Tennessee, etc and we don’t even give an offer?

Franklin High at one point produced more NFL guys than anyone else (70’s-90’s)
The big city power houses & River Parish Schools for sure historically.
Right now, no one is doing it better than Westgate, which was only established in 1998—Kayshon Boutte, Derek Williams (Texas), Danny Lewis (Bama), the DL committed to LSU, and they have a 5 star DB. Several smaller school kids going out. Not to mention NFL players Tyrunn Walker & Dionte Spencer. Snack Williams went to Westgate early in his career. LSU great Jared Mitchell. Josh Boutte (OL who decleated the Wisconsin DB after the whistle…lol).
Patterson High produced Dalton Hilliard (LSU), Ivory Hilliard (LSU), Kenny Hilliard (LSU), Ike Hilliard (Florida) — maybe the biggest football name in Louisiana after the Mannings
Mike Calais (LSU), Anthony Skinner (LSU), Lorenzo Phillips (LSU/FSU), Joey Crappell (LSU), Daylon Charlot (Bama/Kansas), Mykel Jones (OU)….they have a lot of others who played major college ball. None as of late though.

Considering we win tomorrow, it would be great for an extra day rest. Then, possibly Skenes could pitch game #2 of championship

Seimone Augustus > Angel Reese
JR had the best arm to ever play the game. Bert is right up there. I remember going watch the Manning Pass Academy routes on air with the college/NFL guys. JR was throwing 80-90 yard bombs like it was pats-n-go warmup drill.
Peyton just talked about that this year on one of his broadcast. Tried finding it to link, but couldn’t.

Brosette’s 8th grade stats were counted. The only reason why he broke Hilliard’s.
Hilliard and Holly were both named National Sophomore of the Year.

1.) That’s called a glance route not skinny post. It’s a timing route in which Daniel’s was off timing wise.
2.) WR read coverages - you run routes at 90-95% to be smooth while reading coverage and the burst on cut/breaks to 100%
3.) Kayshon won the 400 meter as a freshman in 4A. His 95% comes across as a 60%. He’s that smooth. I watched him all during high school
So you could call it like you see it if you knew what you were looking at.

Everybody outside of LSU can see this. What I don't understand is why so much blind loyalty to a new player over someone who's been here and performed for you his whole career.

Lol. He has 1 yd passing in the 1st quarter and hardly anything at half passing. But that man is the answer…..okay. You’re so smart. Film don’t lie.
Or let’s talk the lack of getting Bech involved.

Believe and downvote all you want. Listen to the ones who know — former players and the reliable media guys who understand the game and the process.
(Reality) Todd McShay on Kayshon

Half of you never played past high school and are completely clueless. How are we as a fan base going to cut down one of our own?? A kid who chose to stay when he could’ve went anywhere. But it was okay from Myles to do it??
Jayden Daniels played pathetic and almost comes across as selfish. Watch the all 22 film (for those who have access). Listen to what other former players who know the game are saying.
Todd McShay said it best via Twitter: “I’m dying to know (and will find out) the real story on what’s going on with LSU and its star WR Kayshon Boutte. LSU’s blatant lack of interest in getting him involved and Boutte’s obvious frustration was alarming!”
This young man is an ultimate competitor and wants to be the best he can be….he wants to get drafted and win the Biletnikoff. The coaching staff straight up refused to get him involved. That’s on PURPOSE! I’d be ticked off too. Half are y’all are too blind to see what’s really going on.
Sure, he’s got to control his emotions better and catch the easy passes. But don’t forget he holds the SEC single game receiving record and he’s a LA native.

Brennan vs Opt Outs/Transfers
Posted by RandomGuy on 8/16/22 at 9:27 am
Curious on your thoughts…
Brennan enters transfers portal, comes back, & no one seemed to be upset. He opts out or rather “walks away” (to some quit) and yet is loved by the fan base.
Chase, Stingley, and others opt and receive backlash. Boutte thought about leaving, has not opted out, yet some crucify him.
What’s the difference? Why is there a double standard?

Pulling Hilliard?

Was he on a pitch count from his lack of rest?
Tonight is about the lack of hitting.

100% agree. It's a tough balance for players. You can't blame kids for wanting to leave the CEO environment. Especially if Saban/Bama is calling offering $$

They don't. Unpopular to many beliefs/desires from fans, the players in college play for themselves first (playing time or career vision) BALANCED with playing for a championship, their teammates, coaches, or school. None of these players besides walk-ons are LSU at any cost. Not even Andre Anthony
