Here is a better answer, or at least one that is more plausible. Right now the U.S. owns about 25% of all the land in this country. Some of it is very valuable; I have seen estimates of somewhere in the 20-30 trillion dollar range. Maybe we should start selling some of it off?
When a provider accepts payment from the insurer and then tries to bill the patient for the rest of the bill is known as "balance billing." I understand that there is a federal law making balance billing illegal for emergency care providers.
If anyone is ever in Southern Idaho there is a place called Cedar Draw Cider, just outside of Buhl. Their Blueberry Thai cider is fantastic.
Yes, once. There is a place in L.A. called the Greyhound that makes the best wings I have ever tasted. I spent years trying to get mine to a similar quality and failed.
Late one night me and a buddy were at the bar and the chef came out for a drink. So I asked him and he told me.
Basically, a two cook process. First confit at low temperature and then fry at high temperature.
Michael Caine is supposed to have said about Jaws: The Revenge:
"I have never seen it but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it build and it is terrific."

There's a lot of leftists in Twin Falls?

If there is a place in the country that is more ruby red than Twin Falls, I have yet to see it. The only elections that matter are the Republican primaries.

And while there are a fair number of escapees from California, Oregon and Washington, they are registering Republican at a higher percentage than the general population.

That being said, I suppose we do have a few crazies.
When I was in Okinawa there were shops where we had embroidered name tags made for our flight suits. Some guys had gag name tags made up to wear in the club. One Friday night a Huey pilot I knew had a name tag "Jack Mehogoff."
The next morning he was playing taxicab for some general (as Huey pilots were wont to do) and the general called him "Jack." He looked down iand saw he was still wearing the gag name tag.
He was "Jack" for the rest of the flight.

Anatomy of a Murder (from way, way back in the day) is not only a really great movie but is very accurate in both trial procedure and attorney/client relations. Jimmy Stewart stars, and George C. Scott, in one of his first movie roles, is fantastic.

There is a scene with Stewart where he coaches his client in a workable defense without really coaching him (i.e. without crossing any ethical lines) that is just how it is done. Spoiler Alert Scott learns the danger of asking a question when you don't know the answer, and, of course, the client skips out on the bill.

Had a girlfriend once make me lasagna using cottage cheese rather than ricotta. I ate it and told her it was delicious. Because . . . you know.
I never understood why people complain about violins in the street.

How about using brown rice instead of white? A nice, nutty flavor that I think goes well with gumbo.
That's a relief. I thought I was missing something.
Is posting this guy some sort of inside joke that I'm not getting?
Nobody here is married or has daughters? The obvious answers are designer handbags and designer shoes.
Charles Lamb, a Royal Navy Swordfish pilot, was a prisoner of war in a camp run by the Vichy French. They were extremely brutal and sadistic to the English prisoners. He wrote a book about it, "To War in a Stringbag."

Chesty Puller should be on anyone's list.

My question is, why did it take six hours of searching to capture these perpetrators inside freaking Camp Pendleton?

Ever been to Pendleton? It's a huge base, bigger than Rhode Island. And the vast majority of it is hills and scrub.
We had a great meal at Local. For a less expensive alternative, Big Hole has excellent BBQ.
Here is a little known fact. After the war the commander of the hunter killer group, Captain Daniel Gallery, because a writer. He wrote a series of very funny "sea stories" detailing the hijinks of a CPO known as "Fatso." Some of the stories are collected in a book called "Now Hear This."

I enjoyed them as a kid, I don't think they are available anymore.
