Your source was On3 and I never doubted it.

It seems to be the opposite, from Shea’s updates. LSU was always thought to be a leader but Miami and Oregon made late surges due to better NIL offers. LSU has leveled the playing field in that aspect, as of late. This is a must-have guy for LSU and they are treating it as such.
Shea’s 5:30 update included his final prediction for the Tiger’s to win this one. Saban was usually the one that ruins these moments for us.

All of this information is being tossed around On3’s Live Updates board. Miami’s side is less confident in themselves today but they believe LSU is a real contender and it could possibly be an LSU Vs Oregon battle. But Oregon’s side is also less confident in themselves and believe it to be an LSU vs Miami battle. LSU was always trending but got passed up in NIL it seems; however, they must have come back with a competing offer. LSU is very much in it and getting most of the hype today.

2011 @ West Virginia was also a memorable one. Nationally televised night game. College Gameday in town. And LSU just out-classed WVU in the first half. It felt like Tyrann Mathieu was going to take the ball from them on every play.

2007 Virginia Tech was a fun one. Especially since it was right around the time when the SEC was separating itself from those other conferences.

No, a team with a 21-10-3 record against you, is much more relevant.
Nobody cares about games from 50+ years ago. LSU is 7-3 against Tennessee this century. But even that is meaningless because Tennessee just doesn’t matter to anybody. People care about championships.

LSU is a mid-tier team that got lucky in some years other teams were down.
The irony! UT beat LSU when they were down and that is all they point to these days. And to discredit any teams national championship because of “luck” just shows everyone what kind of fan you are. Tenn fans are just miserable. Hope yall find something to cheer about soon!!

11 AM kickoff has nothing to do with either teams chances. It’s just funny that UT fans only have that meaningless 11 AM game to point to when going after LSU.
Tennessee “historically owns” LSU? Lmao if you are referring to their head to head matchup from before I was born, that means nothing to me. LSU has absolutely been among the elite teams over the past 20 years.
Tenn has been a dumpster fire since the 90’s. LSU has played for four National Championships since the last time Tennessee did anything relevant. Keep clinging to that “history” though

It’s comical how most Tennessee fans’ proudest moment is beating a very bad LSU team in an 11 AM kickoff game, or finally beating Alabama for the first time in like 20 years.
I guess Tennessee baseball choking in 2022 was a lost opportunity for a new core memory to be proud of (btw everyone outside of Knoxville knew that team was overrated). And of course, last year’s Omaha trip was cut short (haha). And then Purdue beat the brakes off of Tenn in the basketball tournament. Also c Tennessee fans have never been able to listen to one of their guys give a heisman speech. And of course, you guys usually don’t even waste your time watching day 1 of the NFL draft, because yall have only had like one guy taken in the first round, in the last decade.
I have seen so many seasons end in purple and gold confetti. LSU has experienced more athletic success in the last five years, than Tennessee has in the last 50 years.
You'll be watching the highlights to that 2022 11 AM game for years to come, while the rest of the sports watching world moved on as soon as the 2023 season kicked off.

Please provide factual, tangible support for this ridiculous take. You cheering for LSUs downfall (all over this website) is one thing. But to claim that BK is “overrated” is just a lazy take. I won’t even use the immense success he’s had at every stop he has made, prior to LSU. The man has back-to-back 10-win seasons in the SEC, after taking over a team with less than 40 scholarship players. Not to mention a near complete rebuild of the athletic department and coaching staff.
Every single time BK shows he will be successful at LSU, some dumbass (you) tries moves the goalposts. He brought in Jayden Daniel’s and developed him into a heisman trophy winner and 2nd overall draft pick. And if you hadn’t noticed the impact that has had on LSU’s recruiting, I suggest you take the blinders off and look.
Tennessee didn’t win the national championship either, but they also didn’t win any awards. And they have been comically irrelevant to all 32 NFL scouting departments this offseason lmao. Zero draft picks on the first couple days from Tenn. And you think it’s LSU that’s failing? On LSU’s worst day, they are still more relevant than Tennessee.
The only place that anybody has even thought about Tennessee football since the season ended, was in a courtroom. Tennessee has not had nearly enough football success (this century) to warrant such an obnoxious fanbase.
