Saban would be a bad choice, even if he would say "yes". He's too old. He's burned out with coaching. He hated dealing with the world of NIL and transfer portal.

$56 million today or $62.1 million over 7 years. Factoring in interest on the delay, it's a better deal for LSU to stretch it out. That's a pretty low implied interest rate.

All the comments saying USC got hosed by bad refereeing on the play are correct (although it'snot clear that thry would have made the 1st down in any event). In addition, the USC player calling the snap was the protection back, not the punter. Referee should have been up with him until he was cleared to start the play.
