Had a guy from Lake Charles with a failure to stop at a stop sign and dark tint. So because his windows were legal according to his "buddy" who did them he refused to give me his DL. His 10-12yo son was recording this shite from the passenger seat. What a rolemodel he was. He was yelling and raising all kinda hell.

After I told him i wasnt gonna write him for it just let me see his license and test his window. He gave me his license. I tested. 1%. Illegal.
I told him was gonna check his license and he raised hell as I walked off but I went to my car and wrote him for failing to stop at stop sign and window tint.

The moral of the story is, don't be a dick. It will get you a long way most times.

Over 30yrs as LEO I have never had this happen but have had some VERY close calls with people who dont yield to emergency vehicles and basically never even slow down.

About 10yrs ago we really started writing for failure to yield and riding in the left lane of travel.
