I would guess “Western Culture” is defined by everyone differently, but I think about individual and personal freedoms. Some freedoms are being taken away (abortion rights, firearm rights), some are being expanded (removal of marijuana laws) but overall, I feel like we’re still fairly free to make choices at the individual level.

Been here for 12 years. It’s hot as the Sun in this bitch. Can’t go outside from 11a - 8p type of hot and I love the heat.

Yes, I never hated it before Covid started, but even working for a Fortune 50 company and making $220k, the stress became unmanageable. Took a role for a smaller start up and while the stress isn't completely gone, it's much more manageable and still making bank.
