I heard the same story and same $14m number last week (5 year contract). Supposedly a good source but too many degrees of separation from me to really trust.

The rest of the story was that Lane wouldn’t even talk to LSU until Woodward was out because O told him not to trust SW.

Who knows what is real vs. smoke.
I think the crowd psyched him out. They cheered like it was a base hit.

Best or I guess the worst thing to say when you let out a silent fart on an elevator:

“Anyone else smell smoke?”
Can’t wait for them to shoo him off when it’s Jay’s turn to come to the podium.
They are obviously rooting for CCU, but of course they want a game 3. Every neutral viewer in any series wants it to go the distance.

The real genius move was waiting for Stanfield. Typically, Brown has gone in for Pearson when facing RHP.

That is a good point. I never played baseball, so I don’t know the answer to this, but is the baserunner supposed to watch the 3rd base coach on contact or is he supposed to use his own judgement until he get close to 3rd and then look to the coach?

Curiel Ignoring the Windmill

On Stanfield’s hit that scored Hernandez, Josh Jordan was waving Curiel around 3rd on what I think would’ve been a guaranteed out at home.

Awesome base running instincts by Curiel. If he goes and is thrown out, we probably only get 1 run that inning instead of 3.

I think all LSU fans want that rematch, but nobody would like it more than Jay.

I assumed SMU would be out if they lost, but maybe not.

Who Gets the Last Spot?

Posted by ValueTiger on 12/2/24 at 9:17 am
From the way I see it, there is only one spot up to the committee. 11 of the 12 spots are locked in.

1. In, but doesn't play: ND, TENN, OSU, IU (4 spots)
2. Both In: Ore vs. PSU, TX vs. UGA (4 spots)
3. Winner In: ISU vs. ASU, Clem vs. SMU (2 spots)
4. One of these 3: Boise, Tulane, or UNLV (1 spot)

Which leaves BAMA, SC, Miami, and Ole Miss left to claim the 12th spot.

Who SHOULD get the last spot? And who do you think WILL get it?
Where do you stand on a left lane driver that is passing the car in the right but not as fast as you would like?

Do you shoot the gap?

Still not as weird as Wake’s locker room last year.

The CFP’s Nightmare SEC Scenario

Posted by ValueTiger on 10/19/22 at 7:54 am
Bama runs the table and wins SEC championship

Ole Miss wins out with the exception of the one loss to Bama

Tenn/UGA play undefeated with the loser winning out and the winner losing the SEC championship.

We would be left with four, 1 loss SEC teams who’s only losses have come against each other.

Obviously, I don’t want this to happen as it means 2 more LSU losses and another Bama SEC championship but the chaos would be entertaining.

In this scenario, who gets in and who is left out?
