This almost seems like a setup to get Verge out without h him kicking and screaming. He knows where way too many bodies are buried. If public pressure mounts the admin can throw its hand up and tell him we didn’t do anything!

Look silly continuing to make posts about this nonsense.

Then don’t read it or reply to it. You think I care what you think of what I post on an anonymous fan message board?

He has found his niche on game day. I don’t think he returns to coaching.

I think he has gotten so much better and more comfortable on gameday. I think he likes doing it however, I just don’t think that is something he loves. He’s a true coach and I just get this feeling he may need to scratch that itch of coaching again. Or at the very least be AD.
I tend to agree with this.

SABAN’S NOT COMIN BACK!!!

Hey, all you dumb fricks. I didn’t say he IS coming back. The literal headline is why he MAY want to come back. My god all you knee jerk reactionaries obviously have 0 critical thinking/reasoning skills. It’s like I’m talking to a bunch of third graders…oh wait this is the Rant, I probably am.

he is 74. money means nothing to him as he does not have enough time left on earth even if he lives 20 more years to spend it all.

I totally agree with you. He wouldn’t do it for the money but because he has coached his entire life and misses it. Plus he has a real sweet spot for LSU and I think he just can’t understand how this program has sunk to the level it currently is in.

Why Saban may want to return

Posted by RRBengal on 11/1/25 at 10:49 pm
I think Saban retired when he did for a few reasons. First being his age, but more importantly because the avalanche of changes like the transfer portal, NIL, NCAA getting castrated, etc. The entire college football environment was in turmoil and he didn’t want to be in the middle of it.

I think he may want to come back after spending the past couple of years seeing how things have developed and how things work now and being more comfortable being able to navigate in the current environment. He is a competitive SOB and I think he sees this as a challenge he wants to take on and knows that LSU will give him whatever he wants, and then more, to make him successful again.

I don’t disagree, but it’s time to let him come back and finish what he started!

Fire Woody…Hire Wade

Wade train all aboard!!!!!!

re: Frank Wilson auditioning?

Posted by RRBengal on 10/26/25 at 8:08 pm to
No way he is hired permanently. He’s auditioning for a lower D1 school.

Those sports don’t bring in the money. As much as I love baseball, if football and men’s basketball fail the entire athletic department is under water. Like it or not that is the way it is. That is the most important job of an AD. Woody has failed in that miserably. He must go now!

Fire Woodward!

Posted by RRBengal on 10/26/25 at 7:25 pm
The board needs to do the old okie-doke and fire woody now after he fired Kelly! Under no circumstances can woody be allowed any say what so ever into the next football coaching hire!
His fat arse shoulda been fired first!!!!

I totally agree….however, that is what he has been saying all along. My point is, at this point, people just want to bitch and are not really interested in a real answer.

He has said absolutely nothing of the sort. All he has said is all is well, nothing to see here, move along. Any criticism he has is directed at the players, no accountability on the coaching staff, and if anyone disagrees with him it’s because we are spoiled. He is a highly unlikeable hard headed multimillionaire we are stuck with who has not, and if left up to him will not, change anything.
Schools should tell coaches they will not hire them if Jimmy Sexton is their agent. Good on him for doing whatever he can to help his clients, but from a fan/school perspective he needs to be stopped.

I am curious…what could he have said to not make you think this?

Something along the lines of…”We are not that good, and changes need to be made. The schemes, play calls, and personnel groupings we thought would win us a championship this season are not working. I and my fellow coaches are not doing a good job and it falls almost completely on us for not recognizing and making the appropriate changes earlier. In order to fix this we need to shake up what we are doing. Going forward we are going to do X, y, and X.”

I mean this would be a very good start.

BK’s Press Conference

Watching this press conference just solidifies what I’ve thought that he is just checked out and really doesn’t give a frick. He comes in and has this Ho-Hum well you win some and lose some but we are going to play great this upcoming weekend attitude. He’s laughing and smirking through the whole thing. He is gaslighting himself with what he is saying. He has us by the balls and he knows it. He doesn’t give 2 shits.
