I would say Gone With the Wind was way bigger than people wanting to be cool.

My grandma kept of picture of her and her sisters going to it in opening night, and they didn’t take too many pictures back then. The hype for the movie at the time must have been unreal.
Meh, they had the all star game at the same park in 07

It was a great accomplishment but they lucked out avoiding 3 of the 4 other good teams in the Big 12 that season. The rest of the conference stunk. The

Nailed it. Cream puff non conference too. That’s why LSU went to the natty with 2 loses and they had 1.

He’s always been streaky in the majors- when he’s on a heater look out
I’m thinking the old pac -12 teams will join the big 10 and they will have an east and west league.
Very tough. A lot of companies are not hiring and using normal attrition to replace layoffs.

The other powerhouse big ten teams do typically try to play a big time out of conference opponent each year.

Only once in the 2020’s has the big 10 champion played a power school in the non conference- 2021 Michigan played Washington from the pac 12. Big 10 has a model to play all cream puffs.
Indiana actually stopped scheduling Indiana st because the games were too close
Big talk from a school that’s scared to play anyone with a pulse in the non conference

I agree it was amazing to see here in Ohio. Most eclipses happen over the ocean and they have cruises that will take you there.

Denver is a great airport to be stuck at. United club bathrooms are the best there and all outside seating
In a completely unrelated note, SMU would have received $$$ if Duke had made it in.
We need a Manchester season long thread because of Halland
Can you swim in any of the Chicago beaches or should I go to Indiana Dunes?
Announcers are overselling everything, biggest game ever they have played in - biggest save ever for him etc
I only watch the World Cup. I try to watch some afterwards but the skill level is just down so much. They are all star teams in the Cup
I’m hoping to see Simmons win a stage this year
Verse Canyon railroad in AZ is nice for a scenic train ride

re: Just sold home. What ETFs

I work for a major wealth management company and assuming you already have the staples: S&P, value, and technology (SPYM, VOOV, and QQQM are my favs) we are pushing 2 high growth ETF’s right now.
1. VGT- as others have mentioned- no major ETF has done better recently.
2. IVES - home office loves as much as VGT, it’s an AI ETF.

Not endorsed by corporate but my fav the last couple of years is SPMO. The MO stands for momentum, it tracks the S&P but weighs the hot stocks more heavily.
SPMO and XMMO do the same thing with small and mid caps.
The Palmer House Hilton is my vote
