Trey Holly would’ve been nice too… Those 3 were the biggest losses
Seriously? Not sure how those rankings take into account transfers, but 8 players were selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, making the most in program's history.

DT - Walter Nolen
QB - Jaxson Dart
WR - Tre Harris
CB - Trey Amos
DE - Princely Umanmielen
WR - Jordan Watkins
LB - Chris Paul Jr.
DT - JJ Pegues
His results at Ole Miss last year, with the roster he had, would you still want to hire him at LSU if your were looking at that as your last evaluation point?

Don't let recency bias win out, missing the playoffs with the roster he had last year would not go well at LSU... Plus, his name will come with a very high price tag.

re: Nuss’ Knee

He very clearly gets his right ankle rolled on that first big hit. They taped it up and he went out and played the rest of the game on a bum ankle. Nothing to do with his knee...
Yea I watched it too...

-Nuss is clearly injured and can't throw 40 yards down field

-Our O-line play is awful. I do think Curne looked a little better than Davis

-Play calling has no rhythm or intention to setup plays. Maybe the above 2 are affecting this? Maybe? But it was still criminal that we didn't try to run the ball more in the first half, especially with Nuss play hurt.

-Defense is still really good, we just can't have them on the field for 90+ plays and expect to hold a Kiffin offense under 20
He's coming for your QB Lane, and you can't stop him!

I use the LSU Sports app/website. You can listen to all press conferences and BK shows live and on demand

I think Mubenga has improved a lot. In most of the film review I've seen, Davis is the one that has struggled the most, and he's a RS Freshman starting for the fist time.
We've also faced, possibly, the 2 toughest D-lines we might see the rest of the regular season...
Did you miss where BK mentioned that Nuss has a torso injury lingering since camp?

re: BK just settled the issue.

He also mentioned how Sloan is trying to be too perfect in getting the right play called… sounds like a young OC still learning a bit on the job. Similar to when BK started carrying a play sheet last year
Hiding it, first it’s been mentioned

I guess we will just tell Spears to not score next time he gets an INT

Okay, so let’s just tell our offense to go 3 and out every time so our defense can score. You’re missing the point.
Something isn’t adding up, while we were inept at running the ball last year, our passing game wasn’t. This year we have more weapons and we can’t/won’t even get that going. We look like we are scared on offense.
While I agree, having an elite defense can allow you to play more conservative on offense and play field position. However, this strategy requires the offense to be able to burn clock and win TOP. Generally, with efficiently running the ball, and getting first downs, as opposed to the explosive plays and scoring more quickly with the potential for higher risk of a turnover.

LSU had FIVE 3 and outs, running only 52 plays with TOP being only 22 minutes. This entirely negates the benefits of a conservative offensive strategy. Our defense played way more than they should need to, and I would much rather score more points offensively with the higher risk because our defense is elite. We're playing scared on one side of the ball, while playing fearlessly on the other. Not complimentary football.

I get playing to win the game, but I would argue that we played more to not lose the game than we did to win it. Mitigating risks doesn't and shouldn't look like the offense that we've seen so far, especially with the 5th yr QB that has started an entire season and the offensive weapons we have. Last year's offense with this year's defense would've had us in the playoffs. There is no reason to be so timid on offense unless Nuss is playing with an undisclosed injury or something else is going on
AI couldn’t even get the shirt right…
TBH, I really don't care that he didn't run the ball against La Tech. Save it for the big games as to not put him at a higher risk of injury. You definitely don't want him to have to miss any time this season...
Here’s a clip of some plays showing how he affected the game.

I think the nation will once again remember why Perkins was one of the most feared defenders in college football. No QB will be safe, and ole Kade will be the first to remember.

I was wondering when last week it was mentioned that Echols was getting reps at LG. That made me think Thompson had locked down the RG spot and they were trying to get the best 5 on the field.
I actually think that any safety unit in the country should look bad against the WRs and QB we have... :geauxtigers:
