It has been pretty quiet so far, but does anyone know of any coaches changing schools are retiring?

Shaw's head coach went to Brother Martin.

Shaw in turn hired St. Aug's assistant coach.

The dysfunction in the medical department led to multiple player injuries being aggravated or mismanaged.

Tim needs to do a full story on the Pelicans and the Saints on this topic alone. I'm sure there's a lot of meat there to put out a story.

I'm at the point where I'd feel bad for whoever we draft

If we do get the #1 pick, if I'm Cooper Flag I wouldn't want to play for this organization and would send a message for them not to draft me. He should have no faith that this organization can and will develop him as a player and is committed to winning.

I don't like the Dumars hiring, but I would've been willing to see how it played out if they got rid of Green and brought in a coach that's a proven winner to lead this team. With keeping Green on and hiring a guy only because "you're comfortable with him" really puts me off as fan of the team. I barely watched the team and only went to a few games this year. It will be even less next season with the decisions that were made this week. I hope the Pel fan base feels that same way as I do and the arena is mostly empty next year to send a clear message to Gayle.
I signed up when the monthly rate was $49.99 and now my bill is over $95. I plan on getting a roof mounted antenna, but this won't help me during college football season. What is the cheapest way to watch college football come August? The cheapest way I thought of is to sign up for Disney+ to gain access to ESPN+. Is this the cheapest route or are there other ways out there that I'm possibly unaware of?

This is the worst part of what she said. She claims that she's committed to winning, but is keeping Willie Green on as head coach when he's clearly proven during his tenure here that he's not the right guy to move this team in a competitive and winning direction.

Agree it started out like we might be headed for a 1987 Monday type crash. Any of the big trade partners agrees to discuss the tariffs with trump then i believe the market starts the climb back up. Just need one of :Canada, Mexico , EU or China to agree to meet.

I don't think the bloodbath is over. I think we'll have one more significant drop before things improve. At least that's what I'm banking so I can really make some money

Disagree not about McMahon bur basketball in general. Basketball more than any other sport is talent over scheme. Good talent will make a average/poor coach look good and poor talent will make a great coach look average/poor most of the time. Get the talent in and the success will most likely follow

Nah, bro. It's not a direct 1:1 correlation to winning. Talent is needed but when you have going against team's with equal or better talent coaching matters. Most of the SEC can easily match whatever talent LSU will bring in.
That's good for headline news, but the bigger issue I have with McMahon is he hasn't proven that he can install an offensive scheme/identity the entire time he's been head coach at LSU. Every team he's had here just run around and jack up bad shots and play iso ball with the occasional screen every now and then. Every time I see LSU play, it looks like rec ball. It doesn't matter who you bring into the program if the person leading it isn't able to coach, install a scheme, and get all the players to buy into playing cohesive team basketball.

We have our dogs cremated, so arrangements are made with Heavens Pets in Metairie to pick them up from the vet office. We pay up front, have everything done in a private room and the vet leaves us with them so say our goodbyes. Once we leave they take them in the back and store them until they're picked up by Heavens Pets.

This was my experience with my vet as well. We had to put down our family dog that we had for 17 years about a month ago. It was emotionally brutal. Sorry for the OP's lost.

Annual full body MRIs for anyone over 40 is going to become the norm eventually.

Will insurance even pay for a full body MRI? If health insurance companies really cared about your health (which I know they don't), I always thought an annual full body MRI should be covered as part of your annual wellness physical. To me, that just makes sense.

That's why I think it's asinine when people scramble to get a house in the best school districts or pay outrageous private school tuitions. How you raise your kids is vastly, vastly more important than what kind of high school they attend whether average or good school, doesn't matter. Parenting matters exponentially more to how they turn out academically and professionally successful.

I agree with you for the most part, but when you have an impressionable teenager, the environment he's surrounded by matters too. We noticed this when my son was in 7th grade. He was in a public school and started doing things that he was picking up from friends and and his surrounding environment that we felt that was counterproductive to what we were teaching him at home.

We decided to move him to a private catholic school in 8th grade and he's been doing very well ever since. Now that's he's in the 10th, we feel like he's equipped to make better decisions when he's confronted with peer pressure to make the right decisions.

Parents need to constantly talk to their kids, be involved, and ask questions. I believe a lot of parents allow their kids to be locked up in their room all day, don't engage with them at all, and are clueless as to what they're involved with.

He needs to work on his jumper. He will be a more complete player if he adds a midrange jumper to his game.

If I was guarding Zion, I would back off and sag close to the paint, wait for him to drive, and have him prove his willing and able to hit a jump shot. I don't understand why more people don't play him this way.

just reviewed an article as it appears Peabody went extremely cold - Peabody shot 21 percent (12-of-56) from the field, including 33 percent (4-of-12) from the free-throw line. 0 excuse for shooting 4/12 from the FT line.
Credit Hannan for the W

Peabody came out and tried to set the tone with their physicality and Hannan matched it. Hannan's defense has been very good. There's a reason why Peabody shot 12/56 from the field. This was an all out war defensively. Neither team shot the ball well because of how suffocating the defenses were. No one from either team scored double figures. Once Hannan got out to an 8 pt lead in the 4th, I knew they had this game won. Peabody hit a shot with the clock running out to cut the score to 2 pts.

Are the 3 young men skilled? I know they are TALL! Ha. Just curious as to if they are equally good.

My thinking is if they were good, especially at the height of 6'10", they wouldn't be playing at St. Michaels. They might be decent high school players because of their height, but they're likely nothing special.

SMCI up to $55.80

Anyone considering jumping in?

I sold most of my position at this price point. It's going to go down again soon and I wanted to get out while I was ahead. I might jump back in after it dips and SMCI complies with submitting their paperwork on 2/25.
