Hello everyone,

This is the Stats and Recordkeeping Office of the SECRant. We are charged with overseeing the Official Results and Statistics to be used on the SECRant. After much deliberation, our Office has decided to record the 2020-2021 season as normal. We ask for your support in correcting misinformation intentionally or negligently communicated by fellow posters. We wish to ensure that only correct stats and records are used in SECRant discourse. Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Sincerely,

The SECRant Stats Office
CORRECTION: Postponed game are not considered forfeitures under Official SECRant Records. Nor are cancelled games inherently forfeited. Cancelled and potentially cancelled matchups may be considered a forfeiture only upon review by this Office. As things currently stand, the only contest subject to forfeiture is the Alabama-LSU game as decided by a vote by the members of this Forum. Please click on the following Link for further details.

Hello everyone,

The SECRant Stats and Recordkeeping Office would like to thank everyone that voted on the resolution regarding the Alabama-LSU controversy. By a vote of 92-60, the members of the SECRant voted that if Alabama and LSU do not play in 2020, that the Official SECRant Records will indicate that LSU forfeited said contest. The Official results and terms of the Vote are shown in the image below.

We value your assistance in deciding important issues regarding Official SECRant Statistics and Records. Please note that the forfeiture is entirely dependent on the cancellation of the Alabama-LSU game. The Records will be updated immediately upon cancellation. If this comes to pass, we ask that all SECRant members accurately reflect this information in all topics and posts on this Forum. Further, we ask for your support in correcting misinformation intentionally or negligently represented by fellow posters. We wish to ensure that only correct stats and records are used in SECRant discourse. Once again we thank you for your cooperation and support.

Sincerely,

The SECRant Stats and Recordkeeping Office.
This is your friendly reminder that voting closes today at 12:00 pm Central Time. If you have yet to participate in this important matter, we strongly encourage you to do so.

Sincerely,

The Office of SECRant Stats and Recordkeeping

Of all the SEC games cancelled/postponed, is Alabama the only school begging for a forfeit?

We are wholly unaffiliated with the University of Alabama. We cannot speak for the University regarding their stance on the matter. Our review of this matter was initiated when the issue was being discussed by SECRant members in addition to various facts coming to our attention. All of the recently postponed SEC games are currently being reviewed by this Office and could potentially be subject to a Forum Vote. Thank you.

Who takes the forfeit in all the other Cancelled games

Georgia, A&M? Is it as simple as the home team of the cancelled game? What is the application of the forfeit for all the games around the SEC and nation cancelled this weekend

This will help decide the vote if we understand the logic and how it applies to the as of now 3 other cancelled games

The SECRant Office of Stats and Recordkeeping appreciates your query and request for clarification. All records are subject to a vote upon request by a Forum Member and the release of information prompting further review. We are currently monitoring the situation regarding all recently postponed games. Factors being considered include, but are not limited to; importance of the contest to the overall SEC season and action/inaction by universities, players, and coaches leading to the Covid-19 outbreak. Each of the recently postponed games may be subject to a Forum Vote upon the acquisition of additional information

The SECRant Office of Stats and Recordkeeping believes this method to be the most suitable means to ensure a fair, legitimate, and democratic resolution. We would also like to extend our assurances to all participants that measures are in place to counteract any illicit voting done by alters and any other forms of tampering
Hello everyone,

This is the Stats and Recordkeeping Office of the SECRant. We are charged with overseeing the Official Results and Statistics to be used on this Forum. In times of contention, we will turn to the members of the board for resolution. Today we call upon all of you to vote on the matter of whether, assuming cancellation occurs, LSU officially forfeits their 2020 meeting with Alabama. If said resolution passes, Alabama will move to 7-0 and LSU will drop to 2-4. Alabama’s record in the series will improve to 54-26-5 as well as 29-9-2 in Tiger Stadium.

Brief Facts Summary: Alabama and LSU were scheduled to play on November 14th, 2020. Early lines favored Alabama by over 20 points on most sportsbooks. On Monday November 9th, 2020, reports stated that the game was in jeopardy due to a Covid-19 outbreak on LSUs team. The outbreak is believed to have stemmed from a large Halloween party attended by multiple LSU players. The SEC was not notified of this outbreak during the team’s bye week. Coach Ed Oregeron originally stated that they were preparing as if the game would be played. However, 2 days later, “Coach O” would claim that they have spent the Alabama game week preparing for Arkansas as they knew the game would be postponed.

The SECRant Statistics and Recordkeeping Office calls upon all forum members to vote on this matter. If you believe, assuming cancellation occurs, that LSUs actions constitute a forfeiture of the Alabama game, please upvote this post. If not, please downvote. Voting will close on November 12th, 2020 at 12:00pm Central Time. We thank you for your cooperation.
