“What gin?”

Damrak. It’s a Dutch gin. Nothing exclusive or expensive, but it’s more citrus forward than juniper forward. Also has a nice little peppery kick at the end.

And I paid a few dollars less for a 1L than I usually do for a 750ml.

I have a favorite gin that I could only find, the last few years, at Hokus Pokus in Prairieville. And if they didn’t have it in stock, they would order it for me.

Well, earlier this month they told me they couldn’t find it for me. I went to Star yesterday, and they said they would check, and if they could find it, they would have by Friday.

They called me today and told me they had it now. They ordered two cases of 1L bottles and it was cheaper than I’ve paid for it the last 5 years or so. I’m a fan!

I like how they all seem to be “job builders” during their time on earth.

My pro tip is to get half fish Pecan Meunière and half Almondine. The Pecan Meunière is too rich for the whole fish and the lighter Almondine is a perfect balance to that.

It’s like getting two different entrees in one.
Anyone know why Joyner didn’t play last night?
That Cynthia Myers Schlitz poster, and related advertising materials, was created right here in Baton Rouge.

There is a Crazy Pig in Covington also. We recently ate there.
It doesn’t mean that much to me, to mean that much to you.

Who downvotes people sharing their beer and brewery experiences? I don’t get it.

We ate at Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen in Covington the other day. Breakfast and lunch, but with their full bar and creative cocktails, they should open for dinner also. Everything we had was good, especially the biscuits. It wasn’t a bbq joint. Something like that would do very well here imo.

Yeah, saw your sign today when my wife had to pick something up at the floral shop next door. Looking forward to visiting.

J Alexander’s
I bet Broadway and Hollywood are breathing a big sigh of relief, since so many famous actors and actresses come from the stewardship of this professor, who is back walking the esteemed halls of Austin Peay’s acting school.
They probably think they’re responsible for shutting that CVS down.

That’s been shuttered for years.

I’ve been waiting for someone else to comment on those two.
She wasn’t running the score up on the “shite” teams. She was getting everyone valuable minutes and seeing which rotations work, and the only way to see who plays well with who only works if you’re not reining them in and letting them play.

She knows what she has now and there was no reason to run it up and keep some meaningless pressure (like 100 points) on her players.
