I went to see him vs. Calvary several weeks ago and wasn’t overly impressed. That’s not to say he’s a bad player, just didn’t particularly stand out.
I like Ahmad Breaux a good bit more, as he is getting reps all across the DL under the tutelage of Kyle Williams. At 6’2.5” & 265-lbs., I don’t believe it will be a problem for him to bulk up to that 295-lbs. range and be someone that can play as a 3-tech.
If we can flip Reliford and get 2-3 guys from JUCO & the portal, we will be fine IMO.
Furthermore, I believe we have a decent shot of getting Mason Smith and Savion Jones to return next season because they haven’t exactly lit the world on fire this year…..

Cooks visited Bussey yesterday- BK did not but still has an in-home visit that he will use later this fall.
BK visited numerous recruits in NOLA yesterday and was at U-high tonight as u mentioned…..

Wrong - we have a massive need for all positions in the defensive backfield. BK has made it publicly known that he’s not thrilled with how hard they’ve had to hit the portal for DBs the last two years.
On top of that, who do u think they’d ‘process’?? B/c I can guarantee you it won’t be any of the Louisiana guys, nor would it be Evans or Bates.

Bates will not effect Mack.
Mack is a top-20 recruit, nationally. Will be the best DB prospect in our class, with or without Bates (if we get him).
In addition to his incredible physical skillset, Mack’s positional versatility (CB-S-Nickel) separates him from other DB prospects, IMO.
Just my gut instinct, but I love our chances of landing both Bates & Mack.
Mack is a top-20 recruit, nationally. Will be the best DB prospect in our class, with or without Bates (if we get him).

Yeah, Singleton has the physicality to play around the LOS and coverage skills to line up against a TE/WR in the slot.
Very unique skillset IMO - kid is a dynamite pickup. Excited to watch him in P&G.
Matt House runs a 3-4, so I would technically classify Singleton as an OLB that plays on the strong side of formation. At 6’1.5” & 205-lbs., he has good length and the frame to bulk up to 220-225 lbs. after a year in the S&C program, IMO….

Absolutely horrible news - really hope the reports of death in family turn out to be inaccurate.
And, 100% agree, Tolan is an Uber-Talented LB that I hated to see leave LSU.

Word is that they told him to hang tight, bc apparently the next spot for an IOL will remain open for Blake Ivy (who is visiting on 6/23/23). That recruitment is coming down to LSU and Texas A&M.
If Ivy goes elsewhere, then it sounds like they will pull the trigger on Z. Brown.
Will be interesting to see how this one plays out….
