247 factors in high school ranking way too heavy. On3 isn’t as bad

I remember 247 had Aidan Chiles as the top qb transfer last cycle just because of his HS rating

We don’t need liable receivers

What I’m most excited about

Call me crazy but I’m getting pumped to see the defense. It was so hopeless last year that just the hope of competence and no busted coverages has got me excited this morning
Branch, for all his hype, only had 320 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns. Yes, he played in every game.

Shelton Sampson

I was at practice today and thought he really stood out. Had some big catches in 11 on 11 and was going up and getting the ball over DB’s. Encouraging to see him start to live up to the hype he had coming out of high school

Sherman Wilson

Anyone know what happened him? Haven't heard of him in a while and his old twitter handle @irecruitdaboot doesn't even exist anymore. Just curious if anyone knew or I missed it

Joe Moore Award

How did this Washington O-line win the award for best offensive line in the country?? Michigan is getting to Penix immediately while only rushing four. You can’t tell me LSU’s line wouldn’t do better than that or even Michigan’s

Not saying he hasn’t had a great season but he got more hype than he should have for cooking Texas D

Penix overrated

Posted by DannyEtlingsBurner on 1/8/24 at 8:22 pm
Not taking anything away from Penix, but the start to this game is proving that Penix’s most of his success against Texas can be credited to Texas’ bad DBs. Their DB’s were young and the only other good passer they played this year, they lost to (Oklahoma)
Why we didn’t offer him is beyond me

Jacoby Matthews

Stayed after the game for a few minutes and saw that Jacoby Matthews was the last Aggie to leave the field. Talked to multiple lsu players and coaches, specifically Major Burns for a while and even looked like he spoke to Woody for a second. Bryce Anderson and Le’veon Moss were out there for a while as well talking to the lsu coaches and players. Not sure if this means anything but wanted to inform the board and get thoughts
I agree with him. There were a lot of times he held onto the ball too long and looked too much like last year’s Jayden
Where’s the patience? Willie has been great with what he’s had to work with. Teams like the nuggets weren’t built overnight. There’s so much impatience in todays NBA
I feel like he does not get enough credit even from tiger fans, and it’s been this way since last year. I get it. Nabers is amazing and deserves all the attention but BTJ is flying under the radar while leading the country in touchdown receptions for a few weeks now. His catch radius is insane, all you have to do is throw it up to him and it’s an 80/20 ball. His RAC is also definitely under appreciated. The lack of National attention and appreciation he gets is beyond disrespectful. Just wish my guy got more love I guess
Everyone was hating on him for the longest because he was playing timid and we knew he had the potential! Now you’re seeing that potential fulfilled and on display
