Of course they are, by the tens of thousands. I know a guy that flew f-16s that’s 100% disabled, retired as a lt colonel. Makes at least 12k tax free on that and flies for FedEx making around 250-400k from that as well. Runs 3-5 miles a day. Has disabled vet plates on his car.

Another guy I know was an f-22 pilot, 100% disabled. Flies for Delta and works for Grumman. Who knows how much he makes.

Saw a guy walk to it the Y last week. Tatted up, young guy in great shape. New lifted jeep with disabled vet plates. Parked in the handicapped spot closest to the door and had a service dog.

The other stuff is kind of whatever to me, but parking in handicapped spots when other mobility-limited people need them was an a-hole move.

Never been myself, but there doesn't seem to be much there.

That's the same issue I had trying to describe the series to my sister. Trying to sum up the story lines/plots even after just two books is impossible. There's just no frame of reference once the story gets going. Trying to describe Samantha by herself is too much. My fav quote is her saying "I'm not a whore, Carl."

re: Apple Watch screen protector

Not sure what version you have, but all Apple watches after series 2 (2016) are water resistant down to 50m. So, sweat isn't a problem, really. I guess it could mean cleaning it more frequently, but it's not a danger to the watch. As far as the screen goes, the glass is pretty hard to damage. Normal gym workout stuff won't hurt it. I worked out about 6 days a week with my series 6 for 3 years and my ultra 2 for the last 5 months with no damage at all.

Had a flight with a lady whose baby cried from Boston to Frankfurt. Maybe 1 hour of silence on an 8-hour red-eye flight. It was brutal.

Is it wrong that I wouldn't have minded the kid getting popped just for saying bro 6 million fricking times?
Read (and have him read) the Hurt Report. I started riding about 15 years ago, and this report was hugely helpful for me in understanding the real risks (vs all the bullshite people will tell you). One fact is your son will have an accident if he rides for very long. Full stop. 100%. The part they don’t tell you is not all accidents are the same. I had mine; a low side at about 30 miles an hour about a month after I started riding. I had good gear, though. Only destroyed a boot and messed up my ankle for a few days.

Get training, get training, get training , get training. Did I say get training? Before he gets a bike, even. Start with the MSF class and find other classes in your area. Pay for them for him if necessary.

Practice emergency maneuvers in a parking lot. Emergency breaking, swerving, etc. find drills and rep them every week.

Will he do all that? Probably not. But one of the best thing so was told when I started riding was everyone starts out with two pots. One is your luck and one is your skill. The luck pot starts as full as it’s going to get and varies for everyone. The skill pot starts empty. The challenge is to fill the skill pot before the luck pot runs out, and you don’t know how much is in the pot.

Advice for a motorcycling noob
IMHO, it’s insane to let a kid have unmonitored access to the internet and associated apps. I’d say go with your gut and don’t worry about what other kids are doing.

One way to look at it is would you let your 13-year old walk around New York/chicago/los Angeles alone? How long would it take before some predator saw the opportunity to take advantage of them? Before a pedophile zeroed in on them? Well, the internet is every city in the country at the same time, so the odds are exponentially higher they’ll encounter a predator like that.

It happens in minutes many times.

Thought you guys would find this interesting if this hasn't been posted here before. You can search for trades by politician name, the stock or funds and see all kinds of info.

I find it hard to believe Bill Cassidy's net worth is only 448k.

I think that's debatable. The killer is really his statement at the end about signing as a "...step toward greater security and solid security guarantees..." The security guarantee is a non-starter for Trump from what I understand.

Lord, that’s a low bar.
I go every year to SW Oregon (North Bend/Coos Bay) to visit a friend, and it's amazingly beautiful. I've never been up the coast past Newport, really, but it's all incredible. July will be better weather, but October is actually a little more representative of Oregon weather.

Highly recommend Tidal Raves in Depoe Bay (about 10 miles north of Newport), and the Newport aquarium was interesting. They have sea lion rafts by the waterfront in Newport as well. I'd never seen sea lions before, and it was impressive. Those frickers are as loud as air horns and are huge.

Bandon is a cute little town and has world class golf if you're into that. Feel free to message me if you have questions.

Don't think there's any way they win today. Gunner couldn't throw at all. The coaches knew it and you could tell by their playcalling. When they finally did let him throw a bit out of desperation to move the ball, he almost cost them the game.

re: Kindle vs Tablet

Like someone said, you can adjust the font size. If she can read on a phone, she can read on the kindle no problem. The biggest differences to me are the weight (kindle is lighter), battery life (kindle can last a week of regular reading easily), and most significantly the kindle isn't backlit. It has lights built into the sides of the screen that illuminate it, but the screen itself emits no light. Big difference on your eyes when doing a lot of reading, not to mention the effect of blue light sleep disruption. In sunny situations, like reading on the beach, light emitting screens are washed out and hard to see, while the kindles just get easier to read.

I don’t think so. Just dive in, watch some streamers or YouTube videos to learn some good tips. Get crushed a few times for reasons you can’t understand and eventually you’ll figure it all out.
