All I know is that the turf will get torn up in the spring and then they'll have to replace it again and it'll just never be ready in time.

Agreed.
Just posted this in another topic...

I just say Crowten is going to stay just because I don't think they'll fire him this quickly. I just feel like they're going to give him another chance. Honestly, I'm not exactly sure that Crowten was the sole source of our offensive problems this season. Our lack of a running game due to poor offensive line play and also a retard at quarterback greatly contributed to our lack of success this season. I think if LSU plays well and absolutely demolishes Penn State in the Capitol One Bowl, Crowten stays and gets another chance. Miles isn't a complete idiot and knows that his job is on the line next season. He knew it after last season also and got a new DC. We'll see if he does the same with Crowten this year, but I'm not so sure. I'd love to get someone who I know would give us much better production and smarter play but I'm not sure who we would go after or get.

Belowpar said Kragthorpe was getting interviewed possibly or at least has been contacted but has Kragthorpe been a proven coordinator? He was not so great at Louisville calling his offense and was better at Tulsa. Which coach would we see if we were to hire him?

His offense at Louisville was ranked 99 this year and 45th last year but 6th in 2007. Was that production in 2007 just leftover Petrino influence? or what?

His offensive rankings at Tulsa were:
2003: 51st at 388ypg
2004: 73rd at 355ypg
2005: 39th at 402ypg
2006: 24th at 389ypg

Are those the numbers what we want at LSU? I mean anything is better than 108th but Kragthorpe has not been much better at Louisville. It seems to me to be more of a lateral move than an improvement. I really have no idea who we should pursue for OC because I don't really know who's available. It would be great to have Charlie Weis as our OC because of his offensive success and QB coaching skills but it would absolutely NEVER happen. Maybe if Miles took a 60% paycut and we offered Weis the rest, maybe we could pick him up *sarcasm noted here*.

I think a great OC for us would be Kevin Sumlin, head coach at Houston, because he is definitely a proven OC based on his success at Oklahoma and at Houston as well. However, I am positive he wouldn't take a demotion and be OC at LSU.

So I guess my question is, who ELSE could be considered for the OC position?

For example, lsu vs ole miss this year, terrance tolliver caught the ball and landed with 3 seconds left but the clock could not be stopped exactly at 3 seconds because of 'human reaction' time. If the call was right last night, then the refs should of replayed the lsu/ole miss play and reset the clock to 3 seconds.

This guy has it on the money.

I don't want to play Iowa cause I don't want to see that stupid play replayed 6 dozen times.

I think the Fiesta is going to take the higher ranked team at this point. They're going to want to have the best match up possible and the higher ranked match ups look better. They'll take Iowa.

Yes we have. Most if not all of us expected 9-3 or 10-2, but mainly 9-3. The way we got to those 9 wins was somewhat unconventional but we got them. I think what you mean is that the WAY we got to those wins was not what we were expecting, not that the season itself was unexpected.

I have to disagree somewhat. Despite Lee's propensity to throw picks last season, he also had the smarts to throw the ball away. If Jefferson senses pressure, he still panics. Rather than throw the ball out of bounds, he tries to tuck it and run, sometimes into the path of the oncoming pass rush. However, I understand that poor OL play is responsible for this to a certain extent as well.

Finally there is someone who has the same view of JL that I do!!!! Thank you!!

college gameday radio edition is at Bama, they have a set and some tv's, Todd McShay is broadcasting live.

That must have been what I saw then. I thought it was going to Colorado Springs initially but then was confused when I saw Tuscaloosa yesterday.

Did anyone see it yesterday that the headline on ESPN that Gameday was coming to Tuscaloosa? I'm pretty sure I saw that. Was this Air Force thing a last minute deal?

No one knows. Don't ask those questions cause you're going to get 100,000 responses saying "Our O-Line sucks!!! They just suck!!! Man they Suck!!!!" with no real answer. The honest truth is that we have no idea what the gameplan will be for Bama. We'll find out at probably 2:40 on Saturday when Gary Danielson tells us what it is after our first play like he always does. The funny thing though is that he is usually right.
I'm pretty sure its about the same every time we play
Well maybe you should inform him that the football program provides the MOST revenue for the university. Then the money that football makes also funds many of the other sports as well. So if we let the football program go to ruin, the athletic program takes an enormous hit. It seems ridiculous that we spend so much on athletics sometimes but when we pay tuition, it doesn't go towards funding the football program.

Matt Mauck throwing for 312 yards?? Now that's funny

I know Lou Holtz says some stupid things but the one thing that he does say that is so true is this.

"It's a different team every week"

So these ridiculous comparisons of who beat who and by how much and how little are stupid. The fact that Cincinnati beat Oregon State by 28 and USC beat them by 6 is irrelevant. That is a HUGE game for both of those teams. It's a redemption game for USC and Oregon State has had their number the past few years and that's their biggest game of the year. Emotions are way different for USC then what they are for Cincinnati. Absolutely stupid article

I really like GD. I think he's great. That being said, the thing that hurts most about the UF game is that we should've won that game. That's what stings the most cause the D played lights out and our offense couldn't score points for them. If I were a player on the defense, I'd be pretty pissed at the other half of the team.

Don't listen to him. Go and have a great time!! Silver Dollar City is AWESOME!!!! I love Branson. And I just went there two years ago and they definitely have TV where we stayed
There is no way Bama is not #1 here, no possible way
