Huge poli board lurker and first time participant, so excuse me in advance for my ignorance.
As I see it, it is and always have been about the hostages.
My take is, If Hamas doesn't comply by the deadline and if the POTUS gives the go-ahead, this probably doesn't bode well for the remaining hostages, I hope I'm wrong.

Nobody ever told KISS what to do.
Gene and Paul made all the decisions and were brilliant in the final product they we were selling.
Truth be told, IMO, Ace and Peter were the only very talented musicians that really gave them success musically.
Ace and Peter finally said frick it leading to the demise of one of the most entertaining bands in the world.
