Thought about playing Strawberry Farms last year but ended up playing Pelican Hill because I got a discounted rate because we were staying at the Marriot Vacation Club. The prices at Pelican Hill is crazy but couldn't pass up the opportunity with the discount. Course was beautiful. I got paired with 3 other guys who were local to the area and they suggested checking out the Ranch at Laguna Beach, its a 9 hole course but they said it was cool to check out. I didn't end up making it out there though.

Wow, that's very helpful. Thank you for taking the time for the suggestions. There is so much to do with so little time. Might have to make another trip back to enjoy everything.

Looks like the hotel block options are Hotel Belleclaire, Arthouse Hotel, Empire Hotel. Not sure if you would have any opinions on these. We arrive Friday around lunch and leave Sunday but will have wedding activities already planned. Open for lunch Friday and Saturday.
Welcome Party at Trattoria il Gisto Wine Bar, then George Keely. No idea what these places are like but I'm sure it'll be fun. Looks like the Wedding is going to be at the Museum of the City of New York.
Appreciate the suggestions, we getting more and more excited for the trip.

Yea going to Manhatten for a wedding, we are staying in a hotel on the upper west side I believe.

Wait this is really allowed? That would be awesome. We just gonna take the train. I'm a complete beginner about getting around New York as well, I'm assuming the subway will be the best way to get around even though I've heard crazy stories about riding them. I'm fairly familiar with the Metro in DC. Hotel is gonna be on the upper west side around Broadway and 72nd street.

Okay thank you. I've never taken the train before and from doing some quick research on tickets and everything when we want to leave and come back its only about $100 cheaper than direct flights. But I feel like taking the train could add to the experience.
Taking the Train from DC to New York City

Does anybody have any advice or suggestions for taking the train from Washington DC to New York City and back? Wife and I will be leaving the kids at her parents house right outside of DC then have a wedding in New York City. I believe the Amtrack train has several options between the two cities but we have not done it before if anybody has any experience with this or any suggestions it would be appreciated.

Teet's was surprisingly one of my favorites, I used to not like Teet's Boudin but its way improved now. B&S used to be my favorite but it terrible now, not sure what they did. Paul's used to be terrible as well but its close to being the best. T-Boy's seemed to have a lot of liver which I enjoy but not for everyone. Charlie's had a lot of parsley and green onion in it which my wife liked. 5 Brother's was meat forward, felt it could use a little better meat to rice ratio.

We used Pinnacle Exterior Construction and it was an absolute disaster. Maybe it was just a one off problem with them but nothing was installed to specifications and it took about a year to fully fix the problem. Miserable experience.

Appreciate all the replies. After further investigation it seems like one of the nuts in the bottom back of the tank that holds the tank to the toilet was loose and dripping a bit. I tightened it and doesn’t seem to be accumulated water on the floor. I’ll see tomorrow morning if it remains dry. Glad it was mentioned to check that first. Thanks.

Good point, I'll investigate further when I get home, just to make sure there's nothing else leaking that I can just tighten up and would be an easier fix.

Not that I have noticed, I have toddler boys 3 and 4 who are potty trained but the aim isn't always the best so I was behind and around base of toilet cleaning, then after wiping up what I thought was pee, I noticed more clear water around the base of the toilet and tile floor, it's barely noticeable unless I wipe it with a paper towel and the towel is damp. So I googled potential problems and it said the wax ring was most common problem. I'm assuming the only way to tell if this is the issue is to take the whole toilet off, the house was built in 2012 so the toilet is about 14 years old if that makes a difference.

I'm assuming this is the wax seal, should I try to change it out myself or call a plumber. I watched a few youtube videos and it doesn't seem that difficult but don't want to get in over my head.
