re: Duck/Goose Hunting

If I could post a pic I’d show a big flock behind my mom and dad’s house off of nabors. This was a few years ago before they passed.
I’m in Hattiesburg now. Grew up between Roanoke and Pine Island. (I’m one of the Landrys). Miss the sound of them.
Funny, I live off of Paul B. Johnson state park and we have some locals that fly over and it brings me back.

Grew up on the Lyon’s farm just across the road from the Tiejes. Killed many a dove and blackbird.
Chippewa or Thorogood is all I wear

Grew up with Lance. People make mistakes especially when it comes to their kids. Let his record speak for itself.
The writer and producer of “Little Chenier” was a brother sister team from Lake Charles. About the only movie where I didn’t cringe at the accent. At the end of the movie they do a before and after shots of Rita. The chapel scene was shot at a chapel in Elton and majority was shot in south west La.

Would if I could. I am running 5 teams. Longest so far is 59 seasons.
Spend the dollar. It’s worth it. Can change team names and colors (3 teams are collegiate ( LSU) and 2 are NFL (New Orleans and Tampa Bay.
New Orleans is my oldest team. Haven’t lost in 6 seasons.

We are in the process of taking over father in-laws place. 60 acres with use of another 180.
Nothing other than the house has been maintained other than for deer hunting.
The key for us is to start small. Starting with chickens and a small (5 veg) garden. The ultimate goal is to raise 95% of our food and raise enough to cover the financial side where all is required is our labor.
Pipe dream I’m sure but won’t know till you try.
I’m in the middle of 200 acres here in Hattisburg. Ocean Springs I believe is 7000 and it’s growing. On the coast I’m in at andrews area. Since Katrina we have had 4 new subdivisions put in.
Don’t get me wrong. If I had to live in a town it be ocean springs!! But I do t have to live in town.
Let’s see what happens when all the insurance companies start bailing Luke in La.
I live in Ocean Springs since ‘95. On coast since ‘86. The family and I are moving to just south of Hattisburg by Christmas.
O.S. Is a nice place to raise a family. I did. But house insurance is going up and up. Soon it will be like south Louisiana. Unless you need to live minutes from the beach, I’d find something a little further north. Less people and a lot quieter.
Guy’s name is Kerry Arnold. Has a YouTube channel Bigfoot Odyssey. Pretty legit guy.

I’m in Ocean Springs Ms. I got 2 1/2 feet of water in Katrina. No flood insurance.
Wasn’t going to let that biatch run me off.
This was my home!!

Then the next year insurance hit me.
Was paying 480 a year for fire and wind.
Jumped to 2800. Now 3200.
Flood, which is now required, started at 250 a year
(Grand fathered in) but goes up 10% a year. Heard it will flatten out at 1600.

Knowing what I know now, I would have left.
Working on getting out and moving to in-laws up in Hattisburg. The coast just isn’t the same anymore.
