re: Is Woodward waiting for the right number of losses?

I think he's just going to let him finish out the season unless Ed does something truly catastrophic off the field.
It's already a forgone conclusion that he's getting fired. There's not a steady hand on the staff that you can really trust as the interim. And it probably gives Woodward more cover to do work finding the replacement behind the scenes if the public speculation is about *when* Ed O gets fired instead of who's going to replace him.
He's gotta know this is basically his career defining decision. No need to satisfy the fanbase short term if it runs the risk of creating bigger complications later. Imagine the team rallying around Mickey and asking for him to take over long term or Ed O unloading dirt in the press or message boards tracking flights mid-season.
I don't think there's any scenario where we hire the permanent guy mid-season, so deciding when to fire Orgeron is purely an optics decision imo.

re: New transfer rule approved - replace up to 7 transfers without counting towards the 25

I think this helps the upper middle class of college football more than Saban tbh. There's only so much talent you can stack up before it becomes redundant. You can't put 80 guys on the field at once.

Rooting for Bama's actually pretty easy this go round when 3 of the most insufferable teams outside of the SEC are the other options.
As a bonus, maybe Saban will get bored of winning and retire. Felt like he had a little extra motivation this year after missing the playoff.

Same. No spring, COVID, losing so many starters, implementing a new scheme. Too many excuses available to believe O and Woodward are going to admit they made a 7 million dollar mistake.

Take the L, bro. Making us look bad
re: How did LSU go from “champs” to laughing stock so fast?

Lost a lot of talent and made bad coaching hires.
With Brady and Aranda this team would've probably been 7-3ish bc of attrition. But replacing them w Bottom of the Conference level coaching has destroyed any upside.
We'll be lucky to go 3-7. O fricked up both hires and really set us back. Hope neither one of them are coaching here next year.

Got a new Champion of Life in the conference apparently

Maybe the greatest season of college football ever. Top 3 at worst. Definitely the greatest LSU will ever see.

Honestly glad he didn't draw it out. If we're going to be elite, we were always going to have to figure out how to stay on top post-Brady and (post-Aranda)
