re: LSU has the smallest endowment in the SEC
Posted by TJeckelburg on 11/22/24 at 8:41 pm to Corby
That people do not believe LSU’s relatively small endowment is not symptomatic of the colossal dysfunction of this state and its people, is mind-boggling. Yes, these things do matter and points to the future of relevancy of the institution. If the flagship university of this state cannot raise funds with its national branding, then it’s a big problem.
re: Legendary meltdown. Historic.

I have never seen a meltdown like this. Even from LSU. A total collapse of offense, defense, and special teams when you have a 10 point lead at the half and are clearly outclassing your opponent. You lose by 2 scores in game when you the game was yours. I can see maybe losing on a last second field goal but to lose like this?

re: Kari Lake with long hair

I don’t know. I think short hair works better on her. It’s not my normal preference but it seems to work with her persona. Kinda like Robin Wright in “House of Cards”

Still hot. Crazy? Yes, but still hot and the video is proof. I’m not sure I see “gross” unless you have a case of the gay. But “gross” in terms of personality and wanting to have relationship, yeah sure.

Exactly! Do think Kyle Field would be like this? Just shitty fans.
These dipshits have no problem staying all day in the heat on some gross river in the bayou or some shitty Alabama beach but god forbid support your team. These same people will be back by the RV getting tanked (in the sun) trying to hit on chubby chicks half their age.

Agree. Most overrated fan base in all of sports. South Carolina last weekend at noon kickoff was lit.
re: Who here remembers the Bicentennial of 1976?

I remember going on the levee and watching Gerald Ford pass by on a steamboat on the Mississippi River during the presidential campaign . My first recollection of life other than watching Star Wars at a drive-in in Kenner in 1977

re: Ron Howard, a director of ups and downs. What his peak in your opinion?
Posted by TJeckelburg on 6/21/24 at 11:39 pm to Frac the world
He think his "bombs" are better most directors career achievements. He will not be considered Scorsese, Spielberg, or Coppola in any sense but he always made solid movies that are watchable. I think his earlier ones like Night Shift and Parenthood are really good. Most of his movies (pre-2010) were highly successful in the period they were made.
But to answer your question, his career peak is Apollo 13.

Bad take, kid. Very few bands can make genres of music obsolete with one song. Nirvana is deserves a little more respect.

How can “LSU” combined with purple and gold not be some kind of brand infringement.
