I usually get Jacobs out of Laplace. Wondering if there is anything comparable to that in or around Lafayette area?
Thanks everyone. I am in Baton Rouge area and will be hunting within an hour or so from here since a few people mentioned location matters.
I am wanting opinions from more experienced hunters as far as best set up when considering weight and quality and ease of set up. Is there a consensus go to? Is saddle the only option? Needs to be mobile since public so want something I can take in and not as easily and quickly as possible. Would like it to be able to be part of a backpack for way in and out.

I also saw the hawk nest mobile tripod with wheels but that may be bulkier than I want and I think it only gets 9 or 10 feet up. Any info is appreciated. I am 6’2” and weigh 200 if that matters here.
I didn’t know that website was even still around. I used to read it daily every morning. This was 15-20 years ago though. It’s different now but glad to see it’s still going.

I was somewhere in my early 30’s. I don’t remember the exact year. I am mid 40’s now and I came up with 2.9 mil at this moment when I factor in everything.

The big thing for me I want to do it cross 1 million in my brokerage account. And that will happen very soon. I’m hoping by end of year. It should be before December unless there’s a major pull
Back in stocks bc I’m right on the doorstep already. But that will be a good night for me and the wife. Whenever that happens I am going to try and plan a really nice night out. I have a long way to go before I start dipping into that obviously, but it will feel good to open my brokerage page and see that second comma.
Skin still on? If so score the fat and season as desired. Start skin side down in a cold cast iron skillet. Make sure cold to start. Cook med rare as others said. Start on skin side and cook there until skin is golden brown and kind of crispy. Then flip. Sometimes finish in oven but can also do all over stovetop. Make a sauce to serve over it if you want. Maybe that’s too fancy for deer camp but it’s the best way I have ever cooked them.

Keep the duck rendered. Always a use for it later.
I see it both ways here. I think boys should play on boys teams and girls on girls based on what sex you were assigned at birth and not what sex you decided to identify as at a later date.

But if it truly was a clerical error then it’s really tough luck for the kids family to have to pay all that money to do chromosomal testing.
Awesome thank you. I may try and do it if we get a good weather window.

I have only done it one time and it was on a charter. The charter crew was in touch with the shrimpers and we brought them cigarettes and beer and bread and they gave us several crab champagne makers full of chum. We only used that chum they gave us and we threw a ton of it. Caught two 180 pound yellowfin that day.
What are you using to throw behind shrimp boats, cut up pogies? Also how do you find the shrimp
Boats? Is there a way to know about where they are or just head out and search for them?

Sorry I don’t have an answer to your question but I would love to learn more about fishing behind them this time of year.
Is this good for landlords in general? Feel like what you are saying is good to raise rents.

Anyone win gator tags ever?

Posted by GravelLotinCanada on 8/27/25 at 11:13 am
I am sure some have here. First time for me and I am wondering how process works on back end. |I have had blackened and fried gator plenty of times and like the taste of it. If I want that meat do I have to skin it myself, and same question with the hides or heads if wanted to keep anything.

Or do most people just bring and sell to buyers and not keep anything from them?
I dated a woman who I found out later in relationship that her number was 127. She got drunk and very open. She kept a journal with dates and names. Is that too many? I felt like it was too many. And by felt like, I mean I was 100% sure it was too many for me to be comfortable going forward. She was 43 btw and was married for a while but cheated on her husband numerous times.
So marker 54 has bigger shrimp and smaller ones called shrimplets? I have used them but guess I was using the bigger ones. Wasn’t aware they had 2 different types. I need to get some more actually before I go to coast next weekend so this is a good reminder. My favorite artificial baits right now.
They have already gone up in the half hour or so since this was originally posted. Most of the outfield seats I’m seeing g now are all 240ish a piece now that it has been officially announced
Or is it all second market tickets. They are expensive which I kind of expected. To those that have been is it generally better to wait till day of sort of like lsu football games or just buy them ahead of time? I am going to the opening game on what I assume will be Saturday night against Arkansas. I almost want to buy them now bc everyone says it will be Saturday night match up and I agree. But at these prices I hate to buy the wrong game.

And if they are alotted any tourney tickets I have a few friends and family I need to get in touch with on that lottery or however it works. TIA
We should be the Saturday games though right?
35,000

In pennies.

Not wrapped either, give it to them in a sack to teach the brat some work ethic so he can wrap them before a bank will cash them out.
Thank you. Def getting used to start out. And not wanting to spend a ton of money was hoping for $500ish but you mentioned $1000. Maybe I’m just really naive on my initial budget. I will check out some of the shops you mentioned. Thx again. Any guys around town worth booking lessons for a beginner like him? Or maybe just call different golf courses and see if can book something there maybe?

Donors are very territorial and have extremely strong kicks and stomps. They kill coyotes regularly. Some people in rural areas will have a donkey with cows or sheep just as a guard basically. They will F stuff when needed.
