It’s hard to win on the road. Bullpen played to its potential let’s hope it continues, no reason to think it can’t. I agree no reason to melt (not that will stop some people)

Come back home take care of business the last two weeks. Four wins locks up a top 8 seed no matter what we do or don’t do in Hoover.
Arkansas lost 2 of 3 at home to the same A&M team. And lost the series to Florida.

They’ll be tough but so are we.
Riding with Cowan, your best bullpen arm, is smart it just didn’t work out. Two balls 50 mph off the bat and then a three run bomb that’s just baseball

Direct any anger at our inconsistent hitting.

Man what a bitch

(Also you’re incorrect)

It’s a factor when combined with his other attributes. As I said.

This is going to sound counterintuitive considering his stats and accolades but: his projection as a collegiate back isn’t nearly as exciting as his numbers. He just doesn’t scream “SEC RB”. Runs like a heavier punishing back but like what was said already he’s only 5’9” but he’s not a speedster or overly shifty either.
Talented for sure. But to me at least it isn’t surprising that none of the big schools are interested.
On principle I like signing guys and not having to “rely on” the portal.

But. The move this offseason needs to be spending in the portal. We need starter or star level guys at multiple positions and we need them immediately.

(I don’t want this to read like we have nobody for next year because that’s not it. WR, edge, safety come to mind as needs for next season).

Absolutely no chance in hell LSU scores 38 points

We haven’t scored 38 against a P4 team this entire season.

20
36
34
26
34
23
13
16
24

(By the way I am in no way saying these numbers are terrible) But yeah 38 isn’t happening against a good defense

ep, we win by 14-17 points if not for that - and that's with kneeling down at the end when we could have scored another TD had we wanted. I know because it's Vandy and the perception thereof, I think a lot of the folks I talk to kind of dismiss the win but I think it may have been our best played game of the year.

100 percent our best and most complete game of the year we were in total control. Which sounds strange to say about a 7 point win but it was never really that close

One of the more intriguing arms entering the 2025 season will be @LSUbaseball RHP Chase Shores. Absolutely loved Shores in my fall look before his freshman season. Has been up to 96-98 w/ FB and SL continues to develop. Got my hands on some live action footage. #MLBDraft

Can’t wait to see Shores back, super exciting potential for a full season. Like someone else said you’ll probably see him get eased back quickly a la Jump

Well Dallas committed to Wake today soo

Auburn 2019. Best team of all time barely escaped. Everyone talks about 2019 as being the GOAT college football team, but everyone forgets, we barely escaped with this one.

I guess 500 yards of offense, 300 yards passing, and leading by ten until there were seconds left in the game is “barely escaped”.
We should have and did win this game and honestly it should have been worse
Not a connection as of this moment he’s just a stud freshman
You’ll get downvoted but this is true. North Carolina is legit and a much better squad than UCSB or OSU, for example.

Yes, we could (should) have beaten them.
No, saying that we kinda got a bad draw doesn’t mean we’re afraid of any team.
Yes, it was okay to still have optimism before the regional, while acknowledging it was a tough draw.
Yes, it’s okay to continue to acknowledge it now after the fact without sounding like a bitch.

Look, generating only 5 hits as an offense is going to lose you over 90 percent of games in college baseball.

Holding UNC to 4 runs over ten innings playing our fifth game in four days is more than enough from the pitching staff. We had some bad luck in some hard hit balls but. Bats let us down. Learn from it and let’s get it next year!!
This is kinda where my prediction is starting to settle too. Similar flow to the Florida game but with a few more stops on both sides.

New article on D1 written by Shooter Hunt claiming Cameron Johnson is making it to campus

To further elaborate here’s what was said in the article:

“Just one LSU Tigers recruit was selected in the Top 10 rounds (C Blake Mitchell, 8th Overall), and not because of a lack of talent. For the second year in a row (Paxton Kling), Coach Jay Johnson will welcome the top incoming freshman to campus in LHP Cameron Johnson (IMG
Academy, FL). A presumptive Top 30 pick, it appears the asking price was set high, and rightfully so given the massive success (statistically AND financially) seen from the likes of Paul Skenes and Ty Floyd.”

I haven’t seen anything about Johnson removing himself from the draft yet so unless the writer knows something (which is possible I suppose) saying “he will be welcomed to campus” is, at this point, still jumping the gun. Not that this isn’t good news!!! But, the draft is the draft. Crazy things happen.

Only players from the US, Canada, or US territories (like Puerto Rico) are eligible for the draft.

Yes, Skenes is a better prospect than both Mize and Leiter, but that hardly makes him a guarantee.

He’s a WAAAAAAY better prospect than those 2. And he’s just about as close to a guarantee as there is.

This is important. Somehow, incredibly, some people are underselling Skenes. Not just a a first round pick. Not just the top pitching prospect. The best pitching prospect in yeeaaarrrs. Better than Mize, Leiter, Puk, Rodon, you get the idea. And if he lives up to even “most” of his potential this is the cheapest he’s ever going to be.

Burns. Is that he has made it clear he wants a spot as a starter not in the pen and he and his people have basically stated this to schools that have courted him.

And tommy white wanted to play 3rd base.

Identifying and seeking out what you want is mature and smart and not at all selfish.
