Correct. I would have gone for it on 4th, but punting is defendable and with 90 seconds you think your D can wrap it up against an inferior quarterback who has to throw it. Defense blowing it is where our ire should be directed

The last two drives in regulation (our 4th down punt and Kentucky drive to tie) were shocking failures from Kiffin and then Baker. Terrible play calling after the two minute warning, decision to punt instead of going for the win with the ball in your offenses hands. Then you allow a C quarterback to dime you up down the field, sit back in soft zone, zero pressure. Gonna sting for a long time.

Even though Lane should have gone on the fourth down, we let a “Kenny Minchey” go 60 yards in 90 seconds with no timeouts.
The play calls on 1st and 2nd down were bad bad. Lane outsmarted himself. Two Leavitt keepers when your line is getting push? One first down ends the game.

This little mini discussion caused me to wonder about strikeout numbers for this team and previous years and led to me discovering that freshman year Alex Bregman played 67 games and only struck out 25 times the whole season.

We went from wondering if it ended up being a war in two games with Arkansas, would we burn Anderson and even Eyanson for the Coastal matchup.
