Lane Kiffin will last just slightly longer at LSU as the first time I busted a nut. And by the way...3 championships over 16 years from 3 different head coaches don't make a dynasty dumbass.

Zero! He will get us a sniff of the playoffs and then be back in the NFL in 2-3 years
Apologies to all of you for the delay. This is all my fault. When Kiffin said he "had a lot of praying to do to figure things out" I immediately started praying that he would not become the next head coach of LSU. Looks like God is looking over both of our resumes and since I have never stooped so low as to teach young impressionable men that is okay to cheat by faking injuries and my history of honoring the commitments I have made to others is far stronger than his...I think God might be leaning my way on this one. We will see :dunno:
Yes, it bothers me immensely. However, as proven by the vast majority of responses to your question...it does not bother most here. I have determined this to be due to the fact that douchebags obviously can't hate on the douchebaggery of others or it would then reflect negatively on their personal douchebaggedness. Therefore I have concluded with a relatively high level of confidence that douchebags love them a douchebag.

That's how it goes
This ridiculous logic will win you less awards than Kiffin has, but maybe you hold Conference USA titles in high esteem.

It requires no spin. If this happens, it only means Kiffin understands his ceiling is much higher at LSU. No different than any other career minded person looking to maximize their professional achievements.
But if you are the one doing the hiring and are looking for someone to build your house...why would you want to hire the guy that has a long history of either being fired or quitting before he gets the roof put on? :dunno:

Spinning “willing to walk away from a playoff team” as a positive thing is fricking stupid. Cmon man.
You nailed it bubba. It really saddens me how much so few seem to care about the importance of honor in competition and leadership. This man has walked away from partial builds every single time and likely about to do it again and also instructs his men to cheat on a regular basis by faking injuries. If you hate that when it is done to you...why would you want it done for you? I just don't get the love for such a low quality individual just because he is pretty good at putting some points on the scoreboard
Mere and Gang-gang. It was an attempt at Grand-Mere and Grand-pere but the 1st grandchild (my older cousin) could only say Mere and Gang-gang when she started talking and it stayed that way for all of us.

I’ll tell you though… he’s one of us in sobriety. He’s turned his life over in a new way that only those of us in recovery can understand. Ease up on the hate and open up to him
Not gonna happen sir! I positively despise this piece of shite sorry excuse for a man. Your "turned his life around" comments may be accurate regarding his off the field issues, but I guran-damn-tee you he is as dishonorable a man as he ever was. Call it unhinged or whatever you like, but you sir absolutely must be drunk, simple or just plain delusional if you think for 1 single second that if LSU hires this man that he won't put us through this exact same shite show he is pulling on Ole Miss right now in 1, 2 or 3 years at most when the NFL comes calling. Will he win games? Of course he will, Will he turn his back on us while still climbing that hill before ever reaching the summit? You bet your arse he will! DON'T WANT...DO HATE!!

We will support you from day 1
Hell no!! Lane if you are reading this and decide to coach LSU, just know that there are many of us that would like nothing better than to piss in your Gumbo...stay put or go somewhere else PLEASE!!!
Kiffin ain't worth the lint in my belly button or the toilet paper remnant still stuck to my arse

List the options you’d want/prefer over Lane
A limp stalk of celery
a smelly muddy boot
a used tampon
a burning tire
syphilis
Although Lane and syphilis are pretty much the same thing...an irritating rash but cureable unless you allow it to fester with preventive protection being the best method for avoiding this ailment.

I do! If he is hired I will be done with LSU football as long as this piece of shite human is called our coach. I know nobody here cares whether or not I personally support LSU football, but my own principals will not allow me to support anything that involves this disloyal, dishonest, disdainful, disgraceful and distasteful walking talking bag of garbage. Everything else LSU will still have my love and support until the day I die...but not football with Kiffin at the helm.

A limp stalk of celery has a better defense and personality.

Who do you want instead?
I am in complete agreement with OP. How about a local middle school PE teacher first? Any moderately successful woman's soccer coach? Maybe a limp stalk of celery? Any of these would be better than Kiffin. His successes have been mediocre at best, however his level of douchebaggery is completely off the charts! This shell of a man is unacceptable as the leader of anything I would ever support. If he left Ole Miss for the LSU job...it would be just one more example of him turning his back on promises and commitments before delivering on any of those promises. It is one thing to deliver and then leave to take on the next greater challenge...that is warrior mentality! It is a whole other thing to time and time again turn your back on those you have pledged loyalty too for the sake of your own personal gain. If he is hired at LSU, in a few years he might get us to a playoff appearance that results in a 1st round loss with great expectations for the following season and then jump ship to an NFL team. So many of you just don't get it...when someone shows you exactly who they are...believe them!

And your lack of mental acuity is quite apparent and on.par with that of a 12 year old.

Paterno argument is weak, Tom Bradley coached those later teams. Joe was busy letting Jerry have drills in the shower.
And since Tom Bradley's only head coaching stint was 1-3 as interim after Joe Pa was fired and afterward nobody else ever even gave him a sniff as anything but a coordinator or position coach...makes your counter argument weaker than your sorry arse ability to stop fantasizing about joining Jerry in those shower drills :doublebird:
