Number 2! Now let's get the sweep tomorrow. One game at a time, boys. HOLD THE ROPE

I just want a spot in postseason.
Agreed! And there is still a chance. This season started off great, 8-0...then went to hello fast...I just want to see them claw their way back and get a postseason birth. Anything can happen then. We still lead the nation in Strike outs. Offense is putting runs across. If we cab just stop the self inflicted wounds of BB, wild pitches and errors we can do some things. Let's get game 2 and go from there. HOLD THE ROPE!
Start of the comeback!

We NEEDED that one! Now, let's get game 2. There's still a chance (albeit slim) but still a chance! Let's GEAUX

Got your wish! Yorke fell down and hurt his ankle

First time for everything....I guess.
Hope we can somehow scratch out a win today...but the bullpen is depleted.

Ruckert and Patrick are getting their shot and look like they belong in an LSU jersey.
Ruckert is a defensive liability. When he is not kicking balls to the outfield he is missing 2nd base or throwing the 1b off the bag. He has 4 errors, 2 of which came as a "defensive replacement"
I'm sure he will improve, but he is far from "looking like he belongs in ans LSU jersey"

Eh...probably 1%, but sure

False. Neither is true. But injuries add up. The team is fighting. They just aren't very good...

Is he though? I love JJ, and believe he is not happy with these results....but "furious"? I haven't seen him furious since he got thrown out at Tenner.
Why pinch hit there?

That is a head scratcher...Yamin already had a 2 run HR....why sit him?
Of course
Posted by CharlestonTiger on 4/25/26 at 9:29 pm
Of course a 5 run lead was not enough...we just can't put a team away.

all it takes is one swing of the bat.
This is true! My son and I say that to each other all the time! It's one of the beautiful things about baseball.
Last night it was one swing for MSU that decided it. Tough tough way to "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory"

That came soon after the infamous botched double play
2 runs for MSU were scored tonight because we didn't have a foot on 2nd. One by Ruckert after caraway threw him off the bag, and the one by Milam. Literally the definition of "game of inches"
1 strike away

LSU was 1 strike away from winning that game tonight. What an absolutely brutal loss, and probably the nail in the coffin on this season...brutal.
Let's hope they can pick themselves up tomorrow

We can't even get a strike out right...same things that have plagued us all year

Truth! It is a "didn't live up to the hype" year. Sadly

I will still watch every pitch of every game. That is what it looks like to not give up on them...that said...I expect to see more of what we have seen to this point. "Past precedent is the best predictor of future performance"

They will beat SC... and Could beat MSU...they are also in freefall
No more rope to hold

It's all been let out....we'll get 'em next year

I feel like they have really good pieces to different puzzles so they don't fit together in this puzzle. When the pieces do align it is good, but not elite.
To answer OP, I got that feeling after Sac State, but wanted to reserve judgment until SEC play. I really felt like they were turning a corner against Tenn, but losing to Bethune was when I said, ok...we are just not good. They looked out matched last weekend at Ole Miss and they are not even close to A&M sadly. I expect we get swept again this week.
I trust JJ and know that he will get it fixed moving forward. We have solid pieces, just need to find others that fit the same puzzle

Didn't hit the batter on the first pitch.....got a strike out! Maybe he is not a complete bust....
