Ben McDonald just took the headset off LG
Anyone else have an issue with ESPN+ buffering every 30 seconds?

That’s not what happens. More like someone pinching your belly, then running away after you show your arse. Can’t tell me the bull isn’t having fun out there

And that doesn't even take into consideration rodeos

If you go out to the farm where the stock is kept, you’ll see that they aren’t abused. Rodeo bulls are calm in the pasture, some will let you pet them, but flip a switch once they get in the chute. No way to prove it, but I dare say that the bull enjoys the rodeo&lifestyle afterwards more than anyone, and definitely experiences the least amount of pain.

Don Henley was right I guess
Field yields are up, but milling yields are way down, bad as they’ve ever been on average.

He was asking about Alyeska, if you are going to ask about that place I am going to guess you can ski and are wanting something more off the beaten path with a bit more challenge.

That’s where we disagree, cause I assume if you’re at the highest level, then you already know about Alyeska. But I do agree with you that Ikon overall has more challenging resorts. It all depends on which one of us assumed rightly.

Sitting at the airport in Steamboat right now, took 10 minutes to return my car, check my ski bag and walk through security.

It has always worked out for me too, but I’ve had a couple close calls with delays at the smaller airports. Makes me nervous, wondering what I’m gonna do if I can’t get out of there for several days.

And I don’t doubt what you said about the Ikon Resorts you listed, but a group of friends looking to travel and are skilled enough to take advantage of the increase in difficulty vs. what Epic has to offer seems like a rare thing. Feel like you need to live there or close by to be capable of it, but I could be making excuses for myself too

I'm not sure why Epic is so great. Ikon has:

To play devil’s advocate, most of those Ikon resorts you listed need the full Ikon pass, which is more expensive, and require flying into smaller airports. For the vast majority of skiers and snowboarders, why spend the extra money and trouble when you have Vail, Park City(as long as the workers are happy)and Breckenridge at your disposal?

Funny you said these 2, that's pretty much the ones that seemed ideal. Girl I'm going with has done CB before and loved it

The only thing about flying into and out these two airports is that they’re crammed with more flights than they were made for during ski season, so they’re prone to delays if you’re making connections.

Will burrow throw a little bitch fit on the sideline now that he is fricking up? Or does he only do that when others frick up?

Only when others do because of how the team responds, not immaturity. Seeing your leader cussing himself out would be disconcerting

One phrase that comes to mind for me is "Trust, but verify" Look, if we are having to verify something to me that means we ain't really trusting it too much. Am I missing something here?

I’ve said this a couple of times, but have never heard anyone else say it beside the KGB guy in the Chernobyl mini series that I stole it from. And no, you not very trusting if you verify. But I do think there’s a middle ground between flat out not trusting someone and opening up yourself completely, especially in business or politics. Ernest Hemingway said the only way to know if you could trust someone is to trust them and see what happens. But that’s easier said than done.

Would put him at #1 for every category for LSU TEs except career TDs (10). Currently has 6

Dang, he only has 6? Seems like a lot more that, but that could be because him crossing the goal line on a specific 2 point conversion has been replayed so often. He’s earned the right to sit out for that imo. These bowl games are different now, more about the sponsors and tv than the schools and team.
I used to drink gin exclusively, now I only do when the temp outside is above 70. But my go to was Gordon’s for a basic gin to mix with, and The Botanist for more gin heavy cocktails. The best tonic I found was Fever Tree Elderflower. So crisp and refreshing

That everyone recognizes it as a store of value. I get what you’re saying, but bitcoin isn’t there yet

’s amazing how wrong the general perception of that is today.

I think that’s because we lost the political war, both internationally and at home.

I really liked The Blind Dog. It’s away from
downtown so it’s not too crowded. Best meat loaf I’ve ever had.

re: Keystone or Crested Butte

Posted by Charter Embers on 11/11/24 at 2:41 pm
I’ve been to both, and while Crested Butte is overall a better experience when you factor in the ski terrain and town, Keystone caters more to the beginner by making things easier, like flying into Denver instead of Gunnison, more learning areas, etc. Plus Keystone host LSU spring break and has a Rotolo’s, so it seems that there’s something about it that draws other Louisianans
