re: Kiffin’s son’s team Oxford High falls to Tupelo 21-20

U-HIgh...here we come!
We don't know for sure yet, obviously, but after 2 games he's certainly done nothing to think he's NOT future QB. He showed all the tools today. Every Saint fan should hope he's the guy!
Nah...Wilson waited until Nuss totally embarrased him on that stupid sack and was forced to pull him, He gets no credit from me. If he would've put him in the 1st half I would've given him props.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't know how many games Nuss cost us. This is still a historically bad OL coupled with jr. high play calling. That being said, we were in every game except A&M where one QB run for 1st down instead of a punt and we could've easily picked up a couple more wins!
How many times has Kiffin been fired?
There will be 50 of him in the portal every year! There WILL NOT be 50 Lamar Brown's and Richard Anderson's so we have to hang on to those guys!
You know....Kiffin sucked before he didn't!
This guy has a lot of "Kiffin" traits and would make things fun again, at the very least!

I thought the Leon Lett play was well down the field? You talking about in the snow that time? I guess the same principal applied but who wouldn't jump on the ball at the LOS?!?
He got pushed back all day(as usual) However, it was mitigated by a crafty QB that moved very well in the pocket! Ruiz is legit as bad as Penning

All my years(a bunch), i've never seen that. Seems like the right call was made but dang, who would've known to get away from that?!?
Are we missing Penning yet?

Put Simpkins in for the turnstyle know as Cesar Ruiz and our OL might not be bad!
We may win too many games if we get much better :pimp:

Did Southeastern bring in some pro ringers to pitch? We've K'ed about 20 times!
re: Will getting benched light a fire under Nuss?

No. He is who he is. In his defense, he plays behind the worst OL ever in the history of LSU. What he did last year wasn't a fluke. That OL gave hime time. He's terrible under pressure, I mean REALLY terrible! MVB can give us some running ability at least
Great point...will delete
Do you think Kelly watched

last night? If so...what do you think he was thinking? I know what I think but was curious what others think. I'll just say that I think he has a really big ego. I'm especially curious about his feelings when MVB came in and the game was still in the balance.
On another note, that game officially ended when Green dropped that 3rd down pass deep in our end of the field. He had A LOT of green in front of him too! I don't know what people thought about MVB, other than he's better than Nuss. I thought he showed potential but, as expected, seemed jumpy behind that putrid o-line. He should be the guy going forward. We know what Nuss is and we are now playing for next year.

Well you can't get a guy like Kiffin on a short (4-5 yrs.) contract. That can be said for several guys. I do think Kiffin is the safest bet to be able to stick and stay for the duration.
Top priority for those involved in this search...

You must identify the guy you have the most confidence in to actually FINISH a contract. You CAN'T fire this hire in 3.5 yrs!
In the day and age of analytics, I would not be surprised if there's AI involvement in developing a search pattern based on this criteria. I don't know much about it but its staggering what AI is capable of.
I realize the person identified has to accept the job. You just have to be extremely confident in that guy's coaching metrics before handing out offers.
I know that the day and age of NIL changes the dynamics of a program but this hire is certainly gonna determine the next 6-8 yrs. of our beloved program.
