Numerous possessions where Dean/ Baker are wide open under the net. Literally jumping up and down calling for the ball. Instead they drive into a crowded paint and lose the ball or force a pass that might rival a Skenes fastball.

I don’t mean for this to come out the wrong way. It would be awesome if we got Bo Davis! My only question would be. Why? As in why would he come here as a DL coach? It would be his 4th or 5th job as a DL coach. I know not everyone wants to be a DC or head coach, but it would be a pretty lateral move imo. Especially leaving Texas who is now in the SEC and has all the recruits he could ask for. Maybe just to coach for his alma mater?

Sorry if this was already posted and it doesn’t really matter much, but I’m curious about the Heisman Fan Vote. They announced that Penix had won the Fan Vote which was surprising. I voted a good bit and seemed like JD had a sizable lead. Especially over Penix. Did something change last minute?

Yes and no. It hasn’t been his primary position since coming here so there is that concern, however for all of his faults there are things he seems to be great at (which BK has alluded to).
1. He’s a good tackler/ physical
2. He’s very fast
I don’t think that he’s out there because he’s our best option at boundary corner per se. I think him being out there is more indicative of the type of defense we will see from our DBs. They’re going to be 5-8 yds off the WR and keep everything in front of them. Bend don’t break. FSU is going to move the ball, so I think House is going to give them short completions, shrink the field in the RZ and try and hold them to field goals.

Maybe someone will correct me, but I just don’t understand how they can even enforce this.
If the NCAA had changed the ruling to allow for NIL under their own merit then maybe I could understand how a retroactive punishment for signing autographs would be enforced. However, it wasn’t, and was instead deemed unconstitutional for the NCAA to prevent athletes to benefit from NIL.
Would it not then be unconstitutional to punish athletes even if it is after the fact?
