re: Istrouma G Eryn Brown scored 64 in a game against Episcopal this week

Went to Episcopal, this is a terrible take.
Episcopal consistently has one of the best women’s basketball teams in the state, especially for the level they play
Both teams have ballers that scored 50+

Reports out of Camp

Wanted to double back and recall the preseason camp reports which were that JD and the receivers were torching the Defense in every drill and scrimmage and it wasn’t particularly close.
Also, that the CBs were going to be an issue and that they were moving Perk everywhere, hinting that House hadn’t defined a role for him and built his D around personnel
In the past, especially in the O and Miles era, we had to rely on coaches, who would lie and the limited practice press saw.
In the BK era, he gives unprecedented access and is honest about his ball club
I’ll be watching the spring reports closely for Nuss’s development, emergence of a #1 wr and obviously the D because those reports will be an actual indicator of our progress
Agree?

If I said not elite position coaches would that be better.
The Elijah Robinson, Jim Knowles and Joe Sloan matter when recruiting elite talent

In all of Kelly’s past stops,Cinn to GV, he was able to get away with having some medicore position coaches and/or coordinators at times in his past stops
Kids going to ND, weren’t concerned about position coaches, they were committing to the school and the program and NFL develop was a bonus
But in the SEC and when dealing with 5-star, top ranked talent these kids care about who will be coaching them.
They want someone who has scalps on the wall to say and have developed and recruited pros that have impact in the league. I think this is evident with our secondary and Dline recruiting rn
BK has to make changes this offseason and I trust he will, past actions lends credence to this. I don’t necessarily blame him bc it’s worked in the past but he must rectify it or it’ll be his downfall

No it doesn’t some of you are insufferable
I bet you are the same people that said JD would never be good
I trust BK and his evals of recruit and coaches way better than any of you.
Many of don’t even know ball, you just watch it and think that qualifies you to talk about it

Beckwith is my brother in law. If he didn’t get injured, he’d still be a stalwart in the league.
Guy was a straight dog, same with Minter and Queen
I’m hoping our LBs this year continue to restore LSU as LBU.
I love LSU LB recruiting model, they’re are Uber athletic, head smashers

Do you not consider Bama a good team?
Some of you will say anything to tear down JD, the QB that led us to a SEC West title in year one.
Baffles me how an LSU fans can hate on a player that is a great Tiger, won you games, more than expected and is the guy the coaches think is their best option.
But I’m sure you gurus know better than the staff. I hope he makes a leap but if not he’s still a damn good QB, top 10 if you ask many “experts”

If we don’t get Ricks, I think we are in strong position with Harris. Could get one, could get both
re: Chad Simmons with a REALLY interesting tidbit on our guy Desmond Ricks!
Posted by LaRaider92 on 11/4/22 at 11:08 am
Pure speculation but I feel better about ricks now that I know that it the staff that broached reclassifying to Hurley.
Could they have done the same to ricks?
If so, I think he signs with the good guys

2022 Florida Gator Defense vs LSU Breakdown
It’s from a Florida perspective but I found this super enlightening on the concepts we’re running and how we attacked their defense.
Trust me, it’s well worth a watch if you have time

re: 2 most important traits for a QB according to the greatest coaches

Couldn’t have said it better
It’s on the coaches to put players in the best position. Now if they don’t execute that’s another discussion
We all can agree, the coaching must be better. If a guy or players can’t do what you’re asking him/them to do over and over then, it’s on the coaches to give them something they can execute.
As Kelly said, these are the guys we have this year. No one is walking through that door in 2022

For one, base out of a 3x1, add more rpos, incorporate the shuffle pass option into zone reads and I’d like for us to attack matchups better.
Why wasn’t Emery split out on a linebacker and sent on a wheel route at least once? Josh Williams isn’t the correct player for that.
Basically Denbrock should adjust his scheme for the talent and not make the talent fit his system. Yes he likes TEs but we’re loaded at WR so you must adjust.
The best OCs build scheme around their players and to mask deficiencies. Heupel’s system allows them to compete with more talented teams, with spacing, quick decisions and hyper speed. They don’t need better players, just better executions and conditioning. Their scheme is clear and you know what’s coming but can’t stop it.
Nobody can say that for us or what our identity is

There’s collective fault. Singling out one player, when passes are dropped, blocks missed and yes, throws not always made is nonsense.
The whole operations and execution must be better
