re: Blackberry - Anyone Still In?
Posted by Red Beaulieu on 2/11/25 at 2:03 pm
Same I’m still in as well. Went green last week in a long time.
Of course it had its obligatory dip after I posted about it, but that’s more to do with Trump’s tariff talk affecting the auto market, which don’t get me wrong would affect BB to an extent, but this thing can still run up to double digits in a hurry.
Happy to hear there’s someone on this board still in this thing like me.

Blackberry - Anyone Still In?

Just a couple of months before the meme stock bonanza of 2021, someone (username “Upperdecker” I believe) posted how BB was super undervalued compared to CRWD, would be the next big thing, etc.
Then memestock frenzy hit and it jumped from $4/share to close to $30/share within a few months, but once that was over, BB recorded loss after loss, quarter after quarter.
Well BB as of last week, BB has finally rid themselves of the AI Cyber division while retaining the patents and resell rights, and now they are looking like a new company that is forecasting sustainable growth and profits. The company’s crown jewel is QNX, which is being position as the operating system for the future of software defined vehicles and general robotics in the near/mid future.
Anyone still in this or thinking of jumping in since the re-org / lighter cost structure and better outlook? It’s up from a low of $2.20ish around August 2024 to $5.50ish today. Likely a lot more room to run as well.
Thoughts?

I’ve been lurking the past few weeks, and this board has helped me remained motivated / disciplined. On my second round of LIIFT4 and would like to start PPSA once I have the space for a bench, hopefully within the next year. Not really dieting just exercise and focusing on whole nutritious foods and protein.

It’s a Bee article. Timothen Fordlestan isn’t a real person.

I disagree but that’s fine. The NOLA Uptown as well as the Metairie location both did / do very well, and I know plenty of BR people that always get it when they go to the Orange Beach area. The Metairie location’s quality isn’t as good as the Uptown was for whatever reason, but before the price hikes it was the best bang for you buck BBQ in the NOLA metro area, and their sauce is awesome, hence the thread. Appreciate your helpful input though.

Well in case anyone else is curious, I made this recipe that looks a lot like it. It is fairly similar, but I’m going to have to go buy some of Moe’s sauce so I can taste them side by side and adjust the Memphis-Style recipe to get it closer to Moe’s.
Memphis-Style BBQ Sauce
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups tomato sauce
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/3 cup rice vinegar
1/3 cup molasses
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons yellow mustard
1 teaspoon Louisiana hot sauce
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add tomato sauce, cider vinegar, rice vinegar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, hot sauce, salt, black pepper, and cayenne and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer until slightly thickened, about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Transfer sauce to the jar of a blender and blend until smooth. Let cool to room temperature, transfer to a jar and store in refrigerator for up to a month.

I have searched and searched online and cannot find anyone providing a recipe that replicates Moe’s red bbq sauce. Their white bbq sauce is on a few different sites, which is pretty good, but not what I’m looking for. Anyone have a good recipe that closely replicates their red sauce?

I wear J Crew Tech shorts as well. Cheap, comfortable, perfect length.
Edit: I actually buy J Crew Factory Tech Shorts. It’s their cheaper line of clothes.

Exterior Design Company in New Orleans
Posted by Red Beaulieu on 7/25/21 at 12:16 pm
Anyone have a good rec for an outdoor design company in Nola? I have a backyard slab supported by pilings that I would like to put some type of structure on that would act as a storage space, covered parking, and an entertainment area. I don’t mind paying a little more to have a company that specializes in this sort of stuff give me a good vision and make it nice.

Anyone else still in this at a decent cost basis (sub $12) just thinking of putting in a 10% trailing stop, sitting on the sidelines until this thing dips back down to $10 again, and then buying back in?
I believe in BB, but its 2 runs (last January and now) are because of this meme stock crap and not actual fundamentals. BB increasing on fundamentals still seems a year or 2 away after they actually put a couple of decent quarters together.
Am I thinking of this wrong?
