I was thinking we could discuss our bracket picks over some soft serve. Sorry you feel that way :(

I also see you're a student, presumably at LSU. If you would like to discuss matters further, you can meet me at the Sonic on East Boyd, dweeb.

You know what Mr. Texas, I think I will. I won't waste your time trying to explain why I'm more qualified to speak on such matters than you or 99% of people who frequent this board, but I realize there is no way to verify my identity and you likely wouldn't believe me. Anyway, I see this game as a classic rock fight. Would not be surprised if neither team cracks 60. Iowa St. is similar to us in the fact that they would prefer to win with tough defense. The key for the tigers defensively is going to be stopping Izaiah Brockington, who leads the team in both points (17.2) and rebounds (7.1). Now, he is only a 6-4 guard, so it is somewhat interesting no other cyclone averages 4 rebounds per game. Offensively, I would look to exploit this by relentlessly pounding the paint. If we can get Brockington in foul trouble, Iowa St.'s offense would come to a screeching halt. This will be a rare time this year where we will have a height advantage, even without Reid on the floor. Look for us to go hard on the offensive glass, especially considering tourney officials are known to be more lenient on physicality than in the regular season. We also HAVE to value the basketball, which has been an issue for us the majority of the year, as Iowa St. forces its opponents into 18 TOs a game. Conversely, I think our pressure defense can turn them over at a higher clip, given Iowa St. gives it up at a rate of around 16 times a game. Also free throw shooting has been a problem area for the cyclones this year as they only convert 68% of their attempts. Personally, I think this is a damn good draw and I think we match up well with Iowa St. and decently enough for a potential round of 32 date with Wisconsin. Expect a sloppy, nasty, physical game this Friday night. Nothing at this point would surprise me with this team, but give me Tigers 61 Cyclones 55.

I haven't posted in three weeks because I only post when I have something of substance to say. You should take notes, as your post history shows that you would prefer to clutter the board with useless bickering and nonsense about how we're going to "hire the coach from Texas Southern."

Dude step back from the keyboard. You've been on like a 72 hour melt bender

re: Don't like the player hate: Reid

I can't wait for the mental gymnastics next year when he averages 10 and 8. The gap between high school and sec basketball is big, especially for a guy who was normally the biggest guy on the court his entire life. Walker Kessler (who went for a triple double against us earlier in the year) had to transfer because he could not sniff the court at UNC. Believe it or not, guys tend to improve with more experience, especially an 18 year old like reid
100%

All those percentages go out the window in crunch time. It's all about who can grow a set and block out all the noise and execute. Put all our guys in an empty pmac and we would shoot 85%
IMO softball is by far the most entertaining women's sport. The small field makes it real interesting
It amazes me how many on this board can't comprehend that other teams in the country are just as inconsistent as us. I mean take a look around and watch some basketball for a week and half the top 25 will drop a game. A lot of y'all don't watch much outside of the 2 games we play a week and it shows. Basketball is a fickle game

Lol if there is anything to be optimistic about with this team, it is Wade's ability to recruit top talent. Get lost nerd
Live bet LSU when they shite the bed at halftime. Repeat. Profit.

So let me get this straight? Instead of Eason working on his post game you want him to improve his mid range game. For someone who is so concerned with modern basketball you seem to be pretty antiquated

re: basketball expectations

Look, I've been as bullish on this team as any poster on here. But there is no denying that we look AWFUL as of late. Previously I said if we could just go 2-0 this past week against bottom feeders in the league, we would position ourselves to make a run. That is now not the case. Whether you want to admit or not this team is drowning, and the tide keeps rolling in. I'm not saying we miss the tourney, but will wade needs to understand that the expectations have risen. When perennial football powers like bama and auburn take that next step in your own league, it's hard not question why not us.
As much as the rantards dog on him, Gaines is the 3rd guy we need with the ball behind days and Eason right now. Murray has looked completely out of it the last few times out and Gaines is starting to turn a corner. IMO the lack of minutes Gaines got down the stretch last night really hurt us

Yep gonna be a rock fight tonight. Don't watch if you're looking for a track meet
Only problem with wordle is it's too damn easy. Been playing for 2 weeks and haven't come close to losing

Big opportunity to get 2 in a row vs. Ole miss and @ vandy. Get it done and pair it with a steadily improving pinson and the basket will start to look a little wider. College basketball is a game of runs not only over the course of an individual game, but through the duration of the season as well
