Actually technically I do. My professional school in Dallas was taken over by aTm and we got offered diplomas reissued by aTm.
Interestingly enough, the school when I attended was ranked as one of the top schools in the country. Always had one of the highest rates of passage on the national board exams. Since aTm has taken over there has been a huge effort on diversity which they openly are proud of. I think that’s fine really but just be sure you are getting qualified people. Unfortunately that is not a requirement as each year they place several students at UT Dallas for remedial science education as terms of their acceptance. 2 good. friends of mine teach there part time and have relayed this info to me. They have told me the quality of the students are far below what we experienced. Sad really.

I know the truth really hurts. You’ll be okay.
My daughter graduated with honors from UT and UT Southwesten medical school. UTSW is a highly regarded med school - not so much the aTm med school. I guess her UT inferior education didn’t hold her back too much.
In my professional school class 4 decades ago there was exactly one aTm grad out of 142 students. Multiple UT grads, Tech grads, even a few UNT grads. And we were a top rated program back then.

Question?
Who has bragging rights if UT and aTm never play each other again in football?

No one outside of College Station believes that in the least. You just keep deluding yourself.

Wow. I stand corrected. Ranked above once and tied once in what over 100 years! You sure are proud of that piss poor record!
Talk about getting OWNED by UT!

Uh sorry. Just so you say something doesn’t make it so. The P**** envy of Aggies is hilarious when it comes to UT. Never has aTm been ranked above UT in any measure of academics, athletics, good looking women, you name it. It makes you guys feel better to tell that lie that you know deep in your heart is not true.
I can’t believe I’m on here defending UT because I don’t like them either but at least I have a grudging respect for them. Their arrogance at least has some background substance and validity. aTm not so much. But you keep telling yourself that hoping the rest of us will believe it. Good luck with that.

My guess would be aTm coed.
Don’t delude yourself. This isn’t standard practice at most universities. It’s just weird.
Got a good friend who played football at aTm and had a career as a Navy Seal. Really good guy and a bad arse.
I told him about a long time family friend whose daughter finished her freshman year at aTm and came home with a tattoo inside her lower lip that said “redass”. She said all the freshman girls were doing it. He immediately texted his daughter who is a sophomore there and asked her if she was getting one. She asked him how did he know about the tattoo stuff. She said she was considering one that said “gig em” but decided not to get one. He told her not to do it.
This full blooded Aggie is puzzled by his alma mater’s culture now. You can call him “old school” but he says somethings changed down there.

Aggies have not dominated anyone except the sheep around central Texas.

A lot of replies to me show a real lack of reading comprehension. Not surprising.
For the record, I don’t like either UT or aTm. The supporters for both are pretty arrogant. Think they are better than everyone else. I guarantee you that aTm folks believe in their hearts that they are better than everyone else in the SEC. the SEC is much greater for them joining.
Yes my daughter went to UT. I couldn’t give money to UT so I gave her the money so she could write the checks. It was a great experience for her and I am grateful and happy for that. I will admit it was a great education. I told her I would wear a burnt orange shirt to support her but I could never wear a longhorn symbol or anything the said UT.

My daughter has never talked to me about aTm. As a UT grad she really could care less about aTm. I’m the one who is fascinated about the aggie fixation with UT. My aggie friends and aquaitances however are all in for the fixation with UT. It’s like unrequited love. It makes one crazy for something not reciprocated.
I learned from my UT daughter that aTm is not Texas’ main rival. It’s OU and it’s not even close. It drives aggies crazy that UT doesn’t care about them nearly as much as they are fixated with Texas. Sure UT likes to beat aTm more than some other schools but if they had to choose they would beat OU if it meant losing to aTm any day.
My daughter went to UT. Any weekend there are A LOT of aggie students that have come over from College Station. A LOT! Austin is is the light and Aggies are the moth. Not much going on ever in College Station. Dixie Chicken is about it.
Tech has 2 final 4s if you count this last CWS in baseball. They were semi finalists.
Gen. McRaven is chancellor of the UT system. Semantics. aTm is still lead by a career politician. No aTm person would admit that it chaps their arse like it really does. Jealousy is a bad trait.
re: If you could switch 2 SEC schools for 2 Non SEC schools, who would it be?

UT’s President is a retired Navy Seal commander and aTm’s President is a career politician. Spare us the holier than though attitude when it comes to UT.
A friend told me about this thread. Said I had to read it. I have and had quite a few out loud belly laughs. There are many funny posters on here.
Full disclosure - I am Tech undergrad, have a doctorate from aTm and a daughter that went to UT (Texas that is). I will give you guys a few observations that I have come to know over the years.
Both UT and aTm are very fine academic institutions. Never in any publications or rankings over all the years have I seen aTm ranked above UT. That is just what it is. That is not to diminish anyone because they are both very good.
UT's biggest rival by far is OU (Oklahoma) and it's not even close. UT fans want to beat aTm more than most schools but they would rather beat OU any day. This fact drives my aTm friends crazy. They can't admit that UT does not have a fixation against them like aTm does with UT. It's like unrequited love. A person is almost driven crazy to have such strong feelings for another and the feelings aren't returned. It burns deep into one's soul. aTm fans will never be able to admit that UT really doesn't care about aTm as much as aTm cares about UT.
Lubbock is actually a pretty nice town. It has almost 330,000 people in the area. Actually pretty nice landscape within the city limits. Lots of restaurants, etc. The surrounding area - not so much. Flat Llano Estacado. Lots of cotton farming. Beautiful big blue skies and lots of really good people though.
College Station is located in a prettier part of the state but the town itself has not much going for it. The Dixie Chicken and the University are about it. Austin is full of aTm students every weekend who have to get out of College Station. I find that a bit ironic since they hate UT so much.
aTm fans think of their school as having the moral high ground as far as good God fearing, conservative students and alumni. My daughter had many professors at UT that were just that way also. Yes there are quite a few hard core liberals at UT but I don't believe they make up any kind of majority. Far from it. Something that must drive aTm supporters crazy is the UT president is a ex Navy Seal Commander and theirs is a life long politician.
Finally from my Tech perspective. We strongly feel that both UT and aTm fans are arrogant, look down their nose at you fans. I guarantee you the aTm fans to a person feel superior to everyone of the rest of you in the SEC. UT feels the same way about everyone in the Big 12. The ironic thing is I think aTM fans feel that UT fans are that way but they won't acknowledge that they are the exact same way. The 2 schools are very similar in lots of ways that aTm fans will never acknowledge.
Thanks for your time. Really enjoy you guys. Keep it up!
