He will be in the senate by 2028 just like Larry Selders who also got a DWI and was doing burnouts in his sports car near LSU’s campus
The southern video is crazy because they had a guy stationed there to pick up the graduates’ stuff off the floor after they did their jig. Never seen that job before at a graduation? Not at LSU, or anywhere else. I wonder why?

I don’t know anything much about Crifasi, but he was listed as a Republican at least once and is a white male. Was Eboni and maybe some of “visitors” there to pressure rulings somehow?

Eboni was there because the Supreme Court sentenced her to watch actual educated judges conduct proceedings as her rehabilitation

13,000 students in East Baton Rouge Parish schools are chronically absent.

There’s 42,590 students in the school system. So more than 30% are chronically absent? I remember as a kid having the runs and my mother was still dragging my arse to school. How times have changed.

Hard to understate how terrible a judge must be to convince your criminal client that they are better off trying to convince the judge they should be free than with trying convincing only 1 out of 12 citizens of Orleans parish

I still don't see how the judiciary has this power over the executive branch

I don’t see why the executive branch has the power to abolish an agency that the legislative branch established. If you want to abolish it, then you need to pass a law getting rid of it the same way that it was created. FWIW, I don’t care for the CFPB- I think it had a role after 2008 and the financial crisis, maybe not anymore.
Its designed for you to not have a lawyer. Nonetheless, get a lawyer to just show up if its worth anything.

Wildly disappointed in Cade Cole's vote here.

Why? The LASC cannot just come up with their own discipline at this stage in the proceeding because this was on a consent judgment- not a full recommendation. Recommendation of punishment must be meted out by Judiciary Commission and then approved by LASC. If he voted no, then they would have gone back to a full hearing at the commission, followed by an appeal to the LASC, likely another 8 months to a year.
Just like Wilson Fields, it is much better if she won the appellate seat because then she’d be on a panel of three and can do a lot less harm

I’m sick of hearing about the commercial fisherman and oyster man as an excuse not to do diversion projects to rebuild the coast.

Even more weird when you remember they wouldnt be oystering nd fishing there if it was still freshwater like it would be if we never leveed the river
For what lol? Chip Moore let the execution go forward.
Thought they switched it to the flashing yellow arrow thing but could be wrong. If not then definitely ran the light
There is a video, not sure how it was released so I will refrain from posting now. But seems like driver of the sedan was headed southbound on nicholson and turning left onto south quad and the driver of the motorcycle hit the passenger side at a very high rate of speed. The turning honda did not see the motorcycle heading northbound. Likely did not see due to the speed. Can't see all the stop lights in dashcam video but could have happened without a light being ran. For reference there were 2 cars in the westbound lanes of s quad who were stopped waiting to turn left onto nicholson to head south. One of those are is the third vehicle involved, sustaining shrapnel type damage to the fender

Can't leave me in suspense like that. Scores update? Next round times? Current odds?

re: Centenary vs Northwestern State

Centenary alums have great med school success- but keeping in mind that is only those who make it out of the pre-med program. it starts with 30-40 students, finished with 10. The rest go to PA, nursing, PT, OT schools after they don't get the GPA. (still good careers). With a 34 ACT, your kid will excel and get a great shot via the automatic interview and preferred med school admissions agreement Centenary has with LSUHSC. If truly set on in state med school, the Centenary cost is really minimal for the advantages. Surprised the LadyGents did not offer her more money. Yes it is a liberal school admin but the student body is reflective of that age group in society- not overly liberal compared to their peers because of the large amount of athletes.
right next to Port A- you'll be alright. Not great but worse out there.

When people say ULS suck it’s usually because they can’t get in.

Just to be clear- there's usually one characteristic that determines whether or not you can get into U-High and its how high up your dad is at LSU. The only exception is being good at football or basketball. It is a good school, don't get me wrong, but getting in has ZERO reflection on your 4 year old's competence, intelligence, or likelihood to succeed in life.
