Not gonna lie, it took me a minute to find where we were on this graph. Had to zoom all the way out to find the AU logo

I did. This year seemed more difficult to me, considering the circumstances. Do you disagree that Arky and Ole Miss improved over last year? Or that playing away games at LSU, USC, and A&M is more difficult than it otherwise would be? Just my view.
And apparently doing a search of the sos in 2020 and 2021 shows that 2021 was at least as difficult (if not moreso) than 2020.

Anyways, it’s a moot point whether Gus and his staff would’ve won 6 games or not. The guy had stagnated/regressed since 2017 and deserved to get fired.

I don’t know why we would expect the previous staff to improve on their 6-win season with a worse all-around roster against improved conference opponents and conference opponents playing at home. Would this year’s iteration of Bo Nix put up the type of performances that he did against Arky, Ole Miss and LSU?

Don’t guys typically take visits like this at the end of the year for the free trip? I feel like this isn’t an unusual thing for firm commits to do.

Don’t early enrollees get to practice with the team as well? That could be huge for the development of young players.

All that talent just jumps off the screen doesn’t it? At least the defense is keeping us in the game.

Pretty sure Pieology opened towards the end of my last year at AU. Remember it being a very mediocre pizza joint that tried to look fancy. It was not college student cheap either. Dunno why you’d go there when you can get a better slice around the corner at Little Italy’s.
So, not surprised that spot flamed out.

I read that one earlier that called Auburn " the 'whitest' school in the SEC".
I can’t believe this is an actual article. As a black dude that’s attended two different SEC schools and spent some weekends at some others, I wouldn’t know what would make Auburn “whiter” than other SEC schools. They’re all mostly populated by white students.
Even if Auburn is statistically less diverse than other schools, it’s not like UGA or Alabama are much different.

Schwartz - 2nd
If Schwartz runs a 4.2 or something then I maybe see some playoff team like the Chiefs or Saints take him late in the second. I think that’d be a reach though. AS is basically John Ross with worse college production.
Realistically, Schwartz should be a 4th or 5th round pick. He’s not particularly elusive, he hasn’t shown the ability to make a lot of tough catches in traffic, and he’s not really explosive. If you think about the best “speedy” players in the NFL, they always have some other trait to complement their speed. AS doesn’t have that rn.
I do think he could become a 2nd round receiver if he spent another year here and worked on his route-running. That’s where he could stand to improve the most. If you look at Calvin Ridley with the Falcons, he kind of shares some similar deficiencies as AS.
Ridley is a bit more elusive, but he’s not really incredible after the catch, and while he made some contested catches, that’s not really a strength for him either. He is one of the best route-runners in the league though, and uses his speed and footwork to create a ton of separation. If AS can become even 75% the route-runner that Ridley is, then he’d for sure be a 2nd round pick.

Someone said he is pro-style (something like Borges under Tubs). Others said he runs from the shotgun over 90% of the time.
TBF, both can be true. There are a number of college and professional teams that run a pro-style spread (or pro-spread) offense. Off the top of my head, I know that Texas, LSU, and Bama run pro-spread.
