re: From the ESPN Vikings board

Or how about the horrible spot that they gave Devery about 1.5 yards behind where the ball was when his feet hit the ground?

Or how about the cheap shots on Brees that weren't called that were called on the Saints hitting Favre in the exact same manner?

Or how about the fumbles that the Vikings were damn lucky to get THREE TIMES?

We could play this game all day long.
It is unreal how far the sports world is willing to throw rationality out the window to trade off for their man-love of Brett Favre. Biased irrational rhetoric abounds!

I've been watching the Colts all season long because I had their def/special teams on my fantasy roster, and I can tell you that I've been saying all season long - if the Saints face the Colts in the SuperBowl I like our chances! I'm telling you, the winner of last night's game is going to beat the Colts!

Saints 28
Colts 21
So far I have read the following excuses:

- the refs called the game for the Saints
- the Vikings seemed to fumble the ball to the Saints every time
- the fact that int's were being thrown and fumbles were happening was just pure luck and happened by pure chance and the Saints were lucky to receive the benefit of a loose ball
- the Bush td never crossed the plane
- Saints were making dirty hits

Get ready to hear this ALL WEEK from anybody that's not a Saints fan. I LOVE IT! :whodat:

When you go look for a job and want to move up in your career a good portion of how much money you're offered and how desireable you are among companies is where you went to school.

Off topic but yes and no to that. Most employers will admit that the biggest thing that gets a person hired on is whether or not the employer simply likes the person he's interviewing and can see himself working with the person. If a person walks into an interview with a degree from Harvard but comes across as a little snot nose punk know-it-all, he may as well wipe his arse with that degree because he'll play hell getting hired.

Boy does the saying "hope in one hand and shite in the other and see which one fills up first" ever come to mind right now...

THE GOVERNOR

Wrong guy. Blame the source - Edwin Edwards. He's the one that set the policy to the state having to cut ONLY two departments - health care and education. Jindal has no choice but to make cuts at LSU.

The reality is that we won't be happy until we have another coach of Saban's caliber and intensity.

This.

People don't understand that when we say we'd take Saban back in a heartbeat, that's with the understanding that it would probably never happen. But if we were to get somebody that's even somewhat close to his style and can speak straight up and back up his speech with action, well then LSU fans would absolutely embrace that coach with open arms.

Even if Miles were to win an SEC and/or National Championship, I will never feel the same about him again and will wish he'd just leave.

I can spot a bullshitter a mile away, and he is definitely a bullshitter. And I have no patience for people like that.

Well for starters we have a better team this year than we did in 2006. And secondly we'll be at home inside a dome as opposed to outdoors in freezing rain with a hostile crowd against them.

Huge difference between this year and 2006.

Oh, and Minnesota only seems to dominate the better teams at home.
Last year I printed up a ticket and it was for the west side. My seats are in the Northwest endzone so I was going to go sit in my season ticket seats just for kicks. The lady ticket taker at the gate absolutely refused to let me in my normal gate and was adamant about me sitting on the west side...

You know - because all 15,000 fans really made a difference as to what part of the stadium you sat in!

Things won't change until the majority of the people who live here recognize that smoking is trash and make it taboo/socially unpopular

Same thing could be said about drinking. And drinking/driving is worse. You smoke around non smokers, you might affect 10 people. You drink and drive, you're affecting anywhere from 10-100 or worse if you're on the interstate.

Not to mention it looks EXTREMELY trashy/tacky to get smashed out in public if you're over the age of 30. And don't get me started on how irresponsible and incredibly selfish it is to get behind the wheel after drinking.

But nobody ever wants to talk about drinking because most everybody does it. Not everybody smokes, so it makes it an easy argument.
Go ahead and beg for the flag Miles Austin, it was a clean play you fig.
I love how all the Cowboy fans are squirming. We've been hearing their shite allllllllll season long - especially since they beat the Saints.

Now, they're throwing out personal attacks and cheap shots on people because they can't say shite about the fact they're getting their arse beat.
Colts? Nah
Chargers? Nah
Jets? No way

I'm thinking this year is the year of the NFC!

Are you counting the bowl game we won last year?

Bama

This may have already been discussed, but here goes: The cover of Sports Illustrated has the words Dynasty - Can Anyone Stop Alabama? The article goes on to praise Saban, and the awesome team he will have next year. (Probably better than this year's team). I'm not surprised.

The issue also contains the pre-season Top 10 teams for next year listed. No, LSU is not included in the list.

It took Miles 2 years to completely dismantle a championship program into one which lost 9 games in 2 seasons. Aleva must be satisfied with this, since we have not made any coaching changes. I guess from the perspective of the Duke University program, these results are fantastic. We did win 18 games in the last 2 years, something that Duke would be very proud to do. Maybe the next thing we do is to change our mascot to the LSU Blue Tigers.
