If he really did put it out on the web beforehand that his goal was to bait someone into a physical altercation so that he could shoot them, he's going up the river.
No one has mentioned...why did he have a gun on him if he had legitimate business in the courthouse? You can't bring a gun in a courthouse around here.
Turns out he may have had business there that day...but brought a gun?
quote:
A hearing was scheduled at the Montgomery County Courthouse Wednesday morning – where the shooting happened – in a civil case between Eatherly and Midland Credit Management Inc., court records showed, but it’s unclear whether he appeared for the hearing. He allegedly owed a debt of $3,300 to the credit company, according to the county’s court records
So Post about provoking a black person into an altercation so he can shoot someone 6 days prior...arrested for the restaurant thing on Saturday...going to court because he owes people money on Wednesday and brings a gun and does the exact thing he described outside the courthouse.
This guys mental state is in decline.
And there should be video.

there were also several innocent bystanders in the area and surveillance video of the incident shows “a ricocheting projectile hitting nearby walls
I will agree...the bail is to high.
To bad he shot himself in the foot.
Right Jon?
Right Jon?

I honestly believe you may be one of the few on this board that can vote in person for him.

Short version: he opposed more spending.
My short version: with strong control of the house we wouldn't even know who this guy is.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani secured $4 billion in new state support and actions from Governor Kathy Hochul to help balance the 2026-2027 New York City budget. This aid is part of a larger, two-year, nearly $8 billion total state support package that allowed the city to close a $12 billion budget deficit without major service cuts or tax hikes.
How so?

after voters had already elected someone to perform those duties.
The plans to get rid of that office were announced before the election.
Y'all KNEW it was going to be done away with when y'all voted for him...knowing he wouldn't be serving in the role.
Your argument in all this is based on your "feels" bullshite.
Quit being a fricking Karen about going against the will of the voters.

Is libertarian better than Democrat? Does he have a challenger that is better? If not, then there is no room for discussion here. Keep him.
He's not my Rep so I have no say so in the matter. It doesn't really matter to me.
I don't think the statement "He is what he has always claimed to be" is correct. It takes very little time in Washington to change what people used to be in to something else. And like has been said...he's been there awhile.

But you can't win an election running as a Libertarian.

That highlighted part is against the law.
But hey...if they go through with it you get to vote on a bunch more new folks as well. Your current officials might well be in jail.

Why is there so much animosity on this thread the last couple days? Lack of action pitting everyone against each other?
Lack of patience in people. I would hate to try to have a nice, quiet hunting or fishing trip with some of these folks.
I believe things are in the works, I believe the job is going to get done and I know that it will take longer than anyone wants it to...in todays 60 second attention span world...but not years.
The bickering, bitching and moaning, by folks who know little to nothing, is to be ignored.

I'm not sure if anyone has thought of this but voting for Fleming is almost a guaranteed 1 term limit.
Not because he won't do a good job but that he's old...he'll be 80+ when he finishes his first term.
If you are on the fence and are a fan of term limits then this is the deciding factor.
