I'm not actually an Arkansas fan, but supposedly Ronnie Floyd is within a week or so going to be announced as President of the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee (Probably one of the most powerful positions in American Evangelicalism today). Source buried in this article here: LINK

I searched him and, to my surprise, kept getting hits for Arkansas message boards like this one. I loosely picked up that he's close to Gus Malzahn, had a weird interview with Malzahn's wife, and maybe tried to bring Malzahn to Arkansas in the past couple of years. I was wondering if any Arkansas fans who keep up with this stuff could fill me in on his ties to the program and why he matters to Arkansas Football. Thanks!
