He will turn NCst into something bigger and move on.
NC State is a bigger basketball school than most people here are giving credit. It's by far their most passionate sport. They've won 2 national championships. That triangle with Duke and UNC is the most rabid basketball territory in the country. LSU is a bigger brand, but not in basketball. It was a destination school for Valvano. It's definitely not a given that LSU could easily get him if he's successful there.

Besides the way that he was treated at LSU, does he really want to remind everyone of the scandal by coming back. At NC State, it would probably come up much less often.

Kiffin + Baker: KNICE!
And bring back a sober O as D-line coach and recruiter and Brady as O coordinator.. Now that's a Dream Team!

Third, you don’t start a song while our band is playing, PERIOD!
You do realize that at least twice, LSU fans were starting to chant STTDB to the music when the piped in music broke it up? I wasnn't pamying as much attention to the other time.
Les: got us a championship, likable fun guy, a lot of great quotes and laughs, not the sharpest guy but still a great ambassador for the school, you could tell he loved LSU, did not evolve and had to eventually go

O: got us a championship, likable fun guy, a lot of great quotes and laughs, not the sharpest guy but still a great ambassador for the school, you could tell he loved LSU, lost his mind after the championship and had to go

Kelly: was always a prick, not likable, thought the fanbase was so stupid that we'd love his fake accent, his only way of trying to be funny was sarcasm and sounding like an a-hole, terrible ambassador, terrible for the brand, terrible coach, soft, couldn't teach fundamentals, didn't win anything, never loved LSU and except for the money didn't seem to even like LSU.

Not even close for me.

Peak moment: 2022 Bama game.

Sour: I've said many times on this board, he lost me last year. It was clear last season that he was trending down rather than up. All of the NIL in the world would not fix a flawed coach with a flawed culture..

The hate he gets around here is unwarranted
No it isn't.

Leverage
This.

It's fundamentals more than mindset. It's technique and blocking scheme. We are still getting out leveraged and are missing blocking assignments where linemen penetrate untouched. I also believe there is a recent reluctance to making practices overly hard, boring, or unenjoyable in our new evolved NIL era. Not enough wax on wax off. As a result, players don't really improve on their fundamentals until the season begins.

The defense held SC to 10 points & made several key plays & stops. Please STFU about the defense.
As good as this defense is, tackling, angle of attack, and containment could be better for players not named Weeks. Of course fundamentals are much worse and have more impact on offense.
The good news is that BK's teams don't follow that rule. They have the ability to improve the entire season because they start out so sloppy.

I think we beat Vandy, and A&M willl decide the fate of this team.

A lot of guys missed tackles on Sellers. Dude is big, strong, and athletic.
It seems that a hallmark of the BK era is a lack of fundamentals across the entire team. I'm not sure what they are doing at practice, but it does not appear to focus enough on basic techniques.
quote:

I haven’t rewatched the game, but the right tackle seems to be the only guy who is flat out getting beat a lot.
That was the bigest issue, but most everything else looked improved IMO.

Turnovers inside the five are incidents, not deficiencies. Nuss still threw some off targets, but he also had a couple of drops including an on target long ball to Hilton. The opening drive was abysmal, but the O line managed to open up some holes and occasionally get some push as the game progressed.

I'm not saying our offense was good, but it's hard not to acknowledge that it was improved. Hopefully, they continue to progress from here.

Vandy beat the shite of the the same USCe team that we barely beat, and they did it in Columbia.
As others have pointed out, the score does not reflect the flow of that game. Also, transitive property works well in math, not so well in football.

I started the season a Brian Kelly supporter. He lost me
He lost me last year.
I would be much happier trading aTm for either UF or Bama.

For them. SEC had to manufacture some rivalry for them since they left their big bro, Texas.
Exactly, and now that Texas is in the SEC, problem solved. No need to continue forcing LSU into a "rivalry" that doesn't exist.
quote:

you would think they are playing for the inter-galactic super bowl for the universe when playing us.

Kind of like a rivalry game?
No. That's just weird obsession from a group of Texans who can't stand the thought of losing to Louisiana in anything and are miserable because no matter what they do and how much money they spend, they're still disappointed every year. It's also there to an extent with Texas, just not as bad because they're not as insecure as A&M and at least have more to celebrate.
quote:

who wants A&M as a permanent rival?
Mostly people who live in Texas. Otherwise, nobody wants to play the Aggies any more than the minimum necessary.

And all of the delusiional rivalry pumpers can just STFU!

Used it in 2019, allowed me to get face value tickets for the natty in the 100 sections of the superdome vs Clemson.
Same here. It was great!

You lose your money if your team doesn't make it. You can sell them along the way and either make money or lose money, depnending how the season is going. I usually try to get in for under $40. In this case, it all depends on how likely you feel they will win, and how likely you are to go if they do. It's a gamble like anything else.

But it's legit, not a scam.

Hate to be a nega, but Kelly lost me last year. At this point, I'll believe it when I see it.

Does anyone else get the feeling that the broadcast team is pulling more for Arkansas? Or maybe the Tigers don't have any personal stories worth highlighting like the Arkansas?
