After numerous lost bucks with a ruger American 6.5 cripple more, I bought the 1978 version Remington of the woodsmaster 742. I purchased it on gun broker from a pawn shop in rural Missouri. The first time I took it out I hammer an 11 point and it drops without moving a muscle. FYI I shoot Norma whitetail 150 grain bullets!

Area 9 buck taken. This am at 820! Sorry for not knowing how to post pics! 11 pointer weighed right at 165lbs. Good swamp buck! Not a trophy to many others but I will proudly take him.

I did okay. Killed two small bucks. Spike and four pt. In area nine. But I missed A nine point and gut shot and lost a decent six point.

Go in br on the Mississippi River levee 150-300 yards south of BREC Farr Park and there is two bald eagles with a nesting eaglet in the nest. People been photographing all week!
