Little John is the complete opposite of JD when it comes to golf he loves to play and practices nonstop. If he doesn't have success it won't because he hasn't worked hard .
R-22 shouldn't be over 80 dollars a pound the price is actually cheaper now than it was 2 years ago. The part is a expansion valve not joint it is a metering device in your evaporator coil to allow the correct amount of coolant to pass through the system. They are different for each type of refrigerant but he will need to flush the system to remove the oil residue from the system if he just changes the expansion valve and not the coil.

The one downvote must have been the cab driver.
The difference between set point and actual temperature is really irrelevant. The industry norm is going to be 25 degrees less than outside temperature as someone already stated. But there are many variables in homes. If the house feels comfortable your thermostat could just need to be recalibrated.

Put a trap in it it will help prevent drain issues.You will need to make sure you clean your drain each year because the trap will hold water and develop blockages if not cleaned.I would put a 1/4 cup of vinegar down the vent every month in the summer.

That's way out of line I own a Hvac business here in Arkansas and we install a unit that size for around 2500 to 3000 all the time.
Where are you located at. I own a Hvac business in Ar any quote over 5000 is someone trying to take advantage of you.
